To be fair he was really well trained, that hidden isolated school was life threatening year after year and if that wasn't enough they educated the evil kids right there in the same class.

I am a sucker for all things HP! So went to the wand launch at 6am at the Millennuim Bridge, a few weeks before the premiere, and bagged myself a premiere ticket for turning up at such an ungodly hour! Had to take the night bus!

No 3D at Vue West End, such a shame. I do not like premieres where they get so big that they take over two cinemas and then you do not get a up close and personal intro with the stars on stage, and only see them on screen, so no different from others watching at a local screening, or bump into them on the red carpet, it was blue for this premiere, as the stars went one way and lesser mortals get sent the other way to the other screens. Johnny Depp's interview was incoherent and abysmal though. Elski told me he normally needs an earpiece to tell him what to say! That's awful.

Since I had already seen it at a research screening (without knowing what film it was, and was only told just before the film started), I was able to understand the plot a lot better, especially the Lestrange story totally went over my head on first viewing. So I think several viewings are needed to understand the Potter Universe, which I feel is amazing. My personal opinion! ;)

Obviously, I loved it. It was magical and the cast was brilliant.

Went to the BFI IMAX screening on Saturday.

Might be the only one here, but I enjoyed the movie, not as much as the first one true, but it still held my attention and I was very pleased with the CGI. Yes, some parts were a bit slow and could have used a different approach, but in the end this is only the second film in a trilogy, and its purpose is mostly to prepare us to the big fight in the next one. For me, this movie is quite similar to Deathly Hallows part 1 in that sense. Can't wait to watch it again in blu-ray, and I have already pre-ordered the steelbook version :D

It's true that JK Rowling changed her plans since then, I forgot about that, it was supposed to be a trilogy at first ;)

I still think she should have written a trilogy (or more) of novels first, then made movies of them.

Did I miss something? "The Crimes" of Grindelwald? The film is hardly about crimes, plural. Barely even a crime. It really ought to be called. "The Single Sinister But Flawed Plan of Grindelwald".
Still have no idea what the point of Jacob was in this either. And did they just forget all about the Obscurus?

I saw it again in lest sq vue, so much easier to follow on a nice bright screen, (dual 4k Sony "finity" projection) and Dolby atmos sound.

I've noticed that there's hardly any 3d screening of it, prob cos they know it darkens the picture, which is a shame.

I wanted to watch it imax 3d but they got rid of that on Saturday :(
