Dreadful film. Even worse than the awful trailer.
Don't waste your time on it.

Was a convenient time for my vitality voucher this week. But have not seen a film reviewed this bad in a long time. I wonder if this comes too late for many worst of the year lists ?

Love Ferrell and Reilly but wow this sucks, truly one of the worst movies of the year, in fact it goes in at No2 on my list of worst movies behind Mamma Mia 2 only.
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

Think this might be one of the few films this year where we can all agree on how rubbish it was.

A big fat zero out of five

Vue always have 25 minutes of trailers and adverts but this time for some reason there were only 10 minutes worth meaning I missed the start. Which, with the benefit of hindsight, wasn’t such a bad thing.

I've never envied someone missing the start of a film before lol

Weirdly the Wikipedia page suggests a different beginning than the one we got in the UK.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holmes_%26_Watson
As a result of being bullied by his peers, a young Sherlock Holmes vows to be emotionless and solve crimes. After taking revenge on his bullies, Holmes meets and befriends a young John Watson
Some tweets from those in the US confirm this and that their version doesn't include the Watson attempted suicide scene at all, which makes sense I guess as Holmes & Watson can't exactly meet for the first time twice.
Though this probably explains why the photos in the newspaper from around the time they first met are of them as younger men.
Would be interesting to know why there are different versions of the film.
