Avengers Endgame

#1 Post by tonethestone » Mon Apr 22, 2019 10:32 pm

Seeing this tomorrow late morning at a secret screening, wonder if I’ll have to sign a secrecy agreement of some kind?! I remember having to do the same with TDKR.

Will do a non-spoiler review, I’m not a huge fan of the first part just felt like a CGI mess at times but hoping they wrap up the story well with this one.

Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark

No big spoilers, but obviously big character casualties and surprises throughout, including a part at the very end with Cap which i think will annoy Marvel fans. Oddly felt a little empty at the end, the battle scenes are manic, and too CGI heavy, sometimes not even sure what you're watching.

Marvel fans will be happy which is the main thing but casual film go-ers I don’t think will rave too much.

3/5.

yes they killed off rdj cos they were too tight to spend 100million on another ironman/avengers movie... he at least had another ironman movie and or avengers in him :(
shame that their greed dictated the movie
bit slow in places and bit fast in others, seen it three times now, with imax laser the best but the dolby atmos version in lest sq sounded great (esp vormir) but everyones head is cropped off so imax is clearly the way to see it.

infinity war is better, as is the original avengers movie.

7/10

way to convenient :(

I saw this in Imax on Sunday and thought it was excellent. It's just over 3 hours, but the time flies by.

The first part is slower and more reflective than a typical blockbuster, but still enthralling. The rest of is epic, funny, touching and has some wonderful moments for casual and super fans alike.

I'm not sure how much someone would get from this if they weren't up to date on the MCU movies, but for fans it's a fitting conclusion 8.5/10

* And there was nothing at the end of the credits.

there is an audio cue/clue at the end of the credits

which kinda reminds of the one at the end of total recall

having watched the movie a few times now ive noticed that tony makes a couple remarks about time travel and his reason for know where to go with cap could intimate some sort of other time travel he has done or some "intersteller" type BS :P so future resurrection or alternate version could happen if marvel willing to p*y him/or if his agent doesn't price him out of contention
