Toy Story 4

#1 Post by tonethestone » Fri Jun 14, 2019 12:19 pm

Loved the first 3, especially the 3rd one, and a big fan of Pixar films in general and this one is right up there.

Only minor gripe would be some of the previous characters aren't in this one as much, but the new characters bring more life and this is definitely the funniest of the series. If the third one brought you to tears, this will likely do the same!!

4.5/5
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

Saw it in regular 3d and it was underwhelming. Saw it later in IMAX and it was absolutely stunning. Choose wisely where you go and see it as the visuals are a huge part of the movie. In 3d it was a mucky greyed out mess whilst in IMAX it looked as if Woody and co were inhabiting the real world.

Film was good but don’t think that it was nearly as good as the previous three. Buzz and all the regular toys seemed to have been relegated to the sidelines in this one.

Try and stay until the end as there a few clips throughout the end credits.

4/5 which includes an extra 1 for the stunning visuals

I saw this yesterday having loved the previous 3 films and I wasn't disappointed! Great story, great characters including the baddies. I do think very young children will probably have a dip in their interest as some 'darker' scenes and also use of language. However, I will definitely see it again . . .and very soon!

Thoroughly loved it, heard a few sniffles towards the end, I now want a Toy Story 5

I really enjoyed it! Much more than I thought I would, considering how brilliant I thought Toy Story 3 was. But this managed to be bittersweet and also very funny!

Thought it was a nice movie, even though I'm very picky with Disney/Pixar's sequels... I will not see it more than one time that's for sure.
