Spider-Man: Far From Home

#1 Post by scootermcc » Wed Jul 03, 2019 8:09 pm

If you’re planning on seeing Spider-Man: Far From Home there’s a mid and end credit scene.
A large proportion of the movie has been formatted to fill the IMAX screen.

I saw yesterday evening, enjoyable, but familiar, same structure as Marvel films and getting little tiresome of Spider-man films. 2.5/5.
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

Saw it last Saturday. I quite enjoyed it, even though I kind of knew how it would end from the trailer... the plot was very simple to figure out and the "baddy" not that difficult to guess. That said, I do have to admit that Mysterio's message in the end credit scenes left me a bit confused, I'm not sure where they are going with this.

I saw this last week and found it to be as expected . . . Spiderman appearing at the well known European tourist sights. Fun entertainment . . .definitely good for a rainy day.
Marks 7/10
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

I'm not sure why or how anything was happening in this movie but it was poppy enough, and better after the obvious twist (although still made no sense as to how/why anything happened, fast and loose exposition is the game plan here).

3 stars.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

It's a Marvel movie, surely everyone should know to stay till the end?

That's a given, but it helps to know how many scenes and when. It wouldn't be the first time I've waited until the very very end....and nothing. Those credits, especially with cgi artists can take aaaaaaaaaaages to roll.

You would think so but it’s amazing how many people rush out as soon as the credits appear

...and in this film it actually adds to the story rather than just being a teaser to a sequel.
