The Current War
Interesting film if you understand the significant difference between AC and DC, otherwise it's just electricity and electricity. The two main characters were played well.

Re: The Current War
It was the most boring film I've seen in a while, and so dramatically underlit that I thought I had developed an eye problem! I left half way through.

I wasn't expecting sparks to fly, I was hoping that there would be ample in the story to keep me interested.
Watt kept me interested was the historical aspects of the film, nothing much else. None of the dialogue was shocking and there was one slightly powerful speech by Edison.
Basically it was who would face the least resistance and get to light up the US especially the World Fair in Chicago.
You only get a tuppence worth of Ms Middleton which was a bit disappointing. I wonder if there was more of her role that was ohmitted in the editing process.
More of a wet Sunday afternoon kind of film that has both its positives and its negatives.
It may be about AC/DC but it's not a rockumentary

Re: The Current War
I enjoyed this, I didn't know much about Edison, Tesla and Westinghouse so was interesting to find out about History and their personalities. Seemingly Tesla was treated poorly as an immigrant, no change there then!
I'd recommend it

Re: The Current War
Like others, I found this film slow and dark (literally) which I suspect was deliberate as it did pick up as the fight for electricity increased. Acting was good enough but definitely not a great film and I'm unlikely to ever watch it again.

Re: The Current War
Thank goodness for the clever review, Clarkf123! We found the film dull, dull, dull. As NJ born I made the pilgrimage to Menlo Park in NJ so was hoping for something a whole lot better.
