standard britfare feelgood but with bitterfeel movie, is ok. Army wife camp looks like being in a University hall where they stick all the mature students.

The movie was interrupted by poor older guy who answered his phone in cinema, felt bad for him when all the military wives in the audience pounced on him lol. I thought it was more fun than the movie tbh (I actually thought it was part of the movie at first).

You've probably seen this film already really in a different setting.

Not much of a story. Glad it didn't actually involve anything about the actual reality tv documentary - that would have been really pointless. As it was its little better than a mediocre Sunday evening tv show. Certainly not worthy of a cinema film. Very little drama - "Let's form a choir". "Let's perform at Albert Hall". "Ok. Done that. Now what?" Film ends.

See Fishermans Friends, but with soldiers' wives.

I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Always enjoy Kristin Scott Thomas performances and this was no different. I maybe getting a bit soft in my old age, as I actually shed a tear, twice. That may have been p*ying £4.13 for a coke though.

I really enjoyed this film. It was interesting to see how the first group of women started up the choir and the pressures they were under whilst their other halves are away fighting.

Nice to see how many other choirs this then lead to including the one set up for TV.

I enjoyed this i have seen very similar films to this eg fishermans friends but i enjoyed seeing the relationships between the women and getting a bit of a perspective on what it must be like for them. I found it quite moving and poignant in parts because of the subject matter. 7/10 i think is fair.

I could never be a military wife! Not just because of never knowing what's going on with your partner but also this enforced sticking together with the other wives, and joining pointless groups just for something to do. Can't they have jobs outside the base? I was surprised how normal the houses look, somehow I expected barracks.

The passive aggressive relationship between the two alpha females Kristin Scott Thomas and Sharon Horgan provided many titters, but it was never as funny as my fellow cinema goers would led you to believe! The O2 screening wasn't very full and yet some people disturbed everyone with their uproarious laughter.

I thought the journey from them being hopeless to singing their own song at the Royal Albert Hall was told a little bit too quickly and neatly, and the final tiff over a line, and the scene with Dave the car must have been poetic licence, as it felt shoehorned in for more drama.

Their own song was beautiful though, I just wished we'd heard it a few more times instead of the endless renditions of Only You, in which every one of them was suspiciously fluent from the start.

Despite what some have said I thought it was an uplifting film. I went with my mum and we both enjoyed it. Screen was pretty full. Only annoyance was Cineworld putting us in the wrong screen where we endured most of the live premiere screening from Leicester Square before they finally agreed to restart in the screen we were supposed to be in about 90mins after being seated in the wrong screen!!
