That's great, steve9872.

Hope everyone is sorted now, and no one is out of pocket.

Although, I have made donations here and there for charities that help those not as fortunate as myself and the NHS, in this unprecedented crisis, it is good to see that businesses are also acting kindly too.

I was well impressed to read this from the Superdrug update:
We announced last Friday a significant employee package because we are hugely grateful to our amazing team and we want to make sure that no one is worse off financially through this time. The package includes p*ying colleagues in full if they are not able to work through either sickness, self isolation, being a parent, being a vulnerable person, or due to store or service closures. This week we've also extended the package to cover those colleagues who live with or care for someone in a vulnerable group.
Well done!

Happy FMUKCON 2020!! I hope everybody is doing OK? I went bk to work yesterday. after 7 days of self isolation. It felt a little bit like 28 days later, the drive to work was very quiet.

The world looks different today! Stay safe.

Looks like I can get the train tickets refunded also. Online application followed by a freepost address to return the paper tickets.
The refund just came through today, although its yet to appear in my account. Well it is sunday, I just have to wait.

Is anyone else still waiting for a refund? It's still showing up on my account as awaiting refund and I have proof of the signed for post - very old fashioned way of doing it. Customer servive phone is closed and emails taking upto 20 days to be responded to. This is TPE. I had other tickets booked with Avanti West Coast and they were refunded within 2 hours.

It wasn't a quick process, but I received all my refunds a while ago (Travelodge, Caledonian Sleeper, Avanti West Coast and Chiltern Railway). I think mine were all e-tickets though, so that might have helped.

I finally got my holidays cancelled and refunded too (Hotels.com, more of the same train operators and Princess Cruises). It seems that everyone has been dragging their heels to cancel to hold onto working capital that bit longer, but it's all getting dealt with eventually.

Hope anyone still waiting for their money back gets that sorted soon.

It's a real shame not to have met up this year - if anyone's up for it, we could do a virtual meet at some point. I'm thinking a drop in film marathon where we all watch certain movies at set times, so if it's one you've already seen, you can always join in late by fast forwarding to same place as everyone else. We could do a quiz as well - I'm always terrible at the quizzes, but would be happy to facilitate with the tech.

Anyway, just an idea - I know different people's heads are in different places at the moment. We live in strange times!

I am still waiting for TPE.

I have got most of my Paris trip refunded just waiting for Expedia to refund. I was very impressed with the Moulin Rouge as they responded within 45 minutes giving me 3 options. I opted for a voucher valid for 2 years rather than a refund as 100% want to go and they have been brilliant from day 1 with queries re food/timings etc.

Love the idea of a virtual meet up and as you say everyone in a different headspace at the moment.
On a personal note I am better at a weekend (depends what I have encountered during the day at work as to where I am in the evenings- sometimes just need peace) but please don't make plans around me.

Hope everyone is okay

I have had no problems with my refunds etc. They all came through very quickly.

That would be lovely to have a virtual meet up. Was thinking about that too. I already have several regular zoom meet ups, and pretty busy most days, but let me know what day you were thinking of, I am sure I can fit it in.

I am happy to do the weekend too. Just let me know when, and I will join! 👍

Stay safe everyone. xx

OMG I am still waiting on TPE refund!! I feel like they are pen friends now I email that often - it was put on the system on 21st May even though they received it on 31st March. So frustrating and if they say once more thank you for your patience and cooperation !!!!!!

I finally got my refund from Expedia from 16th April for my Paris trip (I was staying 2 days in Paris and 2 in Giverny so this was my Giverny refund). I have kept all the refunds in a separate bank account as I still want to do these trips including spending money so I will already have pa*d for it (more or less) before I go.
