Go on admit it, you always thought I am one, don't blame you!

Well, I'm out for a run in beautiful Bushy Park this morning. Can you believe I would wake up 6am on a most Saturday mornings to catch 3 trains on a 1:5hrs journey just to join 700 other runners in a 5km race? Mad, I know, but I have friends there who also take part (albeit they are locals!) But it is a great running there and sometimes you have to avoid reindeers! Afterwards have lunch by the Thames in Kingston and then do some shopping in the vibrant centre if I need.

I recommend this run to everyone, its called Parkrun. Though they have this all over UK, Bushy Park is the biggest running venue in UK and its free. They record your time and put it up on website. As It's just 5km, it really is for anyone not just serious runners ;)

Have a good weekend all, and uh...Beeee Gooood....

Have a fabulous run, you put me to shame with your dedicated approach but the lunch and shopping sounds perfect.
Have fun :D

Thanks Diane, it was a fun run, great lunch at the river and perhaps spent a tad too much on shopping as I now recently need to fill my wardobe with medium size clothing...guess you could call it a disadvantage in losing weight! But surely a welcome one, no? To think last November I was a XXL... You know, I really dont know what to do with my larger size clothes which practically goes through every size above Medium! Many I have never even bloody worn!!! Apart from the obvious Oxfam shop donation, any other donation options I should consider? Otherwise Oxfam it is :)

Well my usual Sunday cricket match got cancelled today, so being at a loss what to do today, I thought I go for a leisurely run around the park...so I ran and I ran...and I ran...and I ran...for 15.5km! I cant believe how far I kept running, I mean I can nearly run the half amrathon I'm supposed to do in September. Its a whole 3km longer than my previous best and I ran it in quite a good time too. I'm feeling absolutely elated but at the same time bewildered at how quickly I'm progressing. In fact I must be boring everyone to death with my progress...sorry!

Just a reminder, later this week is weighing/measuring time and I really wanna hear what you girls are upto with your missions :) I havent given up on the lads that read this thread btw, I just kinda given up on "hearing" their voices ;) Hope you lads are doing well too!

Well done you that is brilliant and shopping is always a pleasure, I can't believe how far you have come I'm mega impressed. How about a clothing agency? You get a percentage back of what they take so more money to spend on the new you. It can't be weighing time again oh no, hopefully there will be some improvement :cross:
Have a fun day everyone :P

Hello, hope everyones well.
I came back from holiday yesterday, I went to San Francisco and Las Vegas. I had a great time, but the diet went out the window  although it was alcohol more than food, they have a lot of burgers/stodgy food, which I don’t like so I had salad most days, but I think the alcohol more than made up for it, they had the best frozen cocktails and its rude not to try a few flavours and i won't mention the Baileys Ice Cream 8O
But I’m back on the straight and narrow now, I just want to lose a bit more then I’ll be happy, I'm not sure if I put any weight on as my work clothes fit fine today, I wasn’t brave enough to get on the scales, think I’ll leave it till the weekend. I really noticed the difference with the weight loss, I had loads more room on the plane and I went on a helicopter and got to sit in the front as I was one of the lightest people in there!!! I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy!! :D

Well done MrGlass on your running, you should do the London Marathon next!! I’ve been taking all my bigger clothing to a charity shop as I’ve been losing it, I thought it would stop me putting any weight back on as I would have nothing to wear!! Although I’ve been taking it all to the same shop, so if anyone knows anyone near Romford that needs bigger clothes there’re all in the Heart Foundation shop ;)

Wow, Annej, you must have had a great holiday and you really deserved it too, after what you have achieved. DId you go grand Canyon too? Would that be your helicopter ride per chance? I have been to California a few times work related and loved it there but for some reason, I always kept missing out in going to Las Vegas and Grand Canyon. What do you think of their shots? They're served in full size glasses, mad! ;) As for American food joints, dont get me started, its as if the country is intent on killing its citizens by heart attacks and liver failure. Not only do you get free soda refills but their meal potions are ridiculously humungous and thats just the small size option. But I can relate to how great you must have felt being nicely trimmed, and what a reward for you to sit in the helicopter front seat! Well, there's greater rewards to be had but that must have felt sweet ;)

Well now that you have knocked your self out on the cocktails, its time to burn that sugar off, girl, and complete that last little hurdle you had left. So get to it :)

I really want to do the 2011 London Marathon but entries is closed :( I could enter via Asthma UK charity but I definitely can't raise the minimum £1500 required, especially so soon after raising money for the GNR (great north run in September)

But I have another idea for my next dream goal though, I'll enter the New York Marathon for Nov 2011! It is the next most popular in the world. I can have a holiday at the same time. I love that city but I havent been there for over a decade, in fact not been post twin towers. But thats a whole 1.5 years away. I need a more intermediate substantial physical goal to go for after my GNR. What will it be? I have to think about that...

But I just want you all to know, that from end of October, you will, I hope, be reading posts on this thread from a fully qualified level 3 personal trainer :) Right now I am a student!

Yay!! Keep it up Glassy!!! I'm proud of ya!!! :p

And, btw, you definitely are an inspiration. o/ I'm even thinking of getting off my fat ass and actually making use of the gym membership (lol I'd forgotten I had one  ) as well as getting the flat tyres fixed on the bikes (proves how long it is since we rode them  ) so we can cycle around in the lovely weather.

Thinking? Thinking? I dont want to hear you think, I want to hear you doing ;) So go get those tyres pumped girl, I wanna see that bike get all road dirty. And now that you remember you have a gym membership  start using it, get a program first so you remember what the heck you supposed to be doing in there and...enjoy it! But dont think for one second, you can eat what you like, 70% of being healthy and getting fit is on what you eat, so eat sensibly. Look at the food labels and keep saturate fats to a minimum. Drink lots of water, veggies, some fruits (not too much), switch to low fat and "light" of everything, including skimmed milk. Eat at least 3 times a day, 5 times even better (obviously smaller meals!), count your calories and make it a bit less if you wanna lose weight. And set yourself goals. And you're most welcome to join in the FMUK Fat Loss progress project, you dont have to reveal your actual details, just your progress ;)

Time to step on those scales everyone, dont forget body fat monitoring is a better measurement of your fitness/health than just weight. So get the tape measures out too :)
