Forgive me if this is not the right thread to write on. My hubby and I went to see the Dreamboats and Petticoats at Playhouse theatre last night. It's a theatre (just not free
), so, I assume this is appropriate. Thanks to Beate code in the Bargain Board we managed to steal the Stall seats for £10 each (really superb bargain!).
Going not knowing what to expect (except it's based on compilation of songs???) and biggins recommendation, we had a wonderful time. It's like 2 in 1 show, watching a live concert and a play. It really brought me back to 60's (though I'm not that old to actually know it... hehehe) and we were shakin' and rockin' throughout the show. I love Laura's voice. And there's a grandpa actually on his feet most of 2nd act, twisting and dancing... love watching him
. may be, the show reminded him of his teens!!
the only annoying thing happened last night, there was a couple right in front of me kissing, touching and can't keep their hands off each other probably 70% of the show. I almost going to tell them to get a room. Almost everyone on my row and their row pointing to them, whispering even those next to them. I even heard people talking about them during intermission. they were too busy to notice!! Can't they tone it down or wait for just merely 3hrs. Especially when I looked around the audience more than 60% were in their 50's, of course they got annoyed seeing uncontrolled public affection. Affection yeah but uncontrollable
.
