A free festival for all the family
London Mela, Sunday 8 August, Gunnersbury Park - 1pm-8.30pm
London's largest celebration of Asian culture and creativity from the UK and around the world.
This year's London Mela will be held in Gunnersbury Park on Sunday 8th August, there will be nine zones with urban, classical and experimental music, DJs, circus, dance, visual arts, comedy and the Magic Mela kids area not to mention the food markets and fabulous funfair.
Our line up for this year is even more exciting than ever with a host of recording stars and performers from the UK and around the world all mixed together with dance, theatre and classical performances.
This year we have two new zones to add to the already staggering array of venues on offer and we are hitching up with Cardiff and Edinburgh Melas in our three cities challenge 'Planes Trains & Rickshaws'.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to making the 2009 London Mela such a fantastic event, breaking all records in the process and we really hope you enjoy this year’s event just as much.
