When I was young I was watching snooker on a black & white tv. Hadnt a clue which colour was being potted.

When I was young I watched Muffin the Mule on a TV which had a 12 inch screen. At night the television closed down about 11 o'clock after Late CAll - and there were only two channels to watch.

And if you had fallen asleep in front of the telly you woke up to the "test screen!"

At school no one had trainers and jogging bottoms for P.E. you wore black plimsolls and navy "knickers" with a little pocket in them for your hankie!!!
Hair would not be allowed to hang over your face as it does now, it had to be neat and tidy and tied back with a ribbon - my sister and I went to school with a ribbon tied in a big bow that was almost bigger than our head! LOL

Fathers were head of the house and if he said you were not allowed something that was the end of the conversation - not open to debate as it is nowadays with children dictating what they want.

Yes they have it all now - mine included -but there is lack of respect for anyone now.

Better get off my soap box before I go too far down that line!!

Windows 95 you show off! I had a Sinclair Spectrum that you plugged into the TV.

MrGlass is that why they called it Pot Black as we had no idea re the colour

Well I've been reliving my past for real this afternoon by going blackberrying - a little late in the season and they will probably end up in crumble, whereas when I was little my mother would have made bramble jelly. There were elderberries, too (didn't pick any of those) which we used to enjoy as cordial.
