Well well, I know I was going to be super busy with my studies and a little pa*d work commitment but damn, the theory work is so much that I'll need to drop the little pa*d work that I still had!
I'm telling you all this here because I didnt want this thread to come of the first page as it seemed dangerously near the bottom

So how is everyone? Forgive me but would you all mind I leave out doing the progress charts for another 6 weeks until my course is over and have passed all my exams as there is so much to cram in. What? Why are you all cheering? Oh no, no no, it doesnt mean you can all relax your exercising and dieting, oh no, I still want you to come here and let us know your progress and motivate each other as I will still accumulate all the results when I satrt the chart again!
So everyone on good stead with their health goals? Remember to recite your goals, its the key to drive your challenges.
Well as I do the course, I'll drop in the main points of interest. But what have I learnt so far? Plenty (all theory work so far, I start going to the classes from Monday). Diane will be proud of me as I can now draw a skeleton and name most of the 206 bones in a body (just bones, havent gone onto joints and muscles yet). I can also tell the whole story of bone growth from embryo to late adulthood (its called the Ossification process). What would be of more immediate interest to all of you, is that the key minerals for strong bones and growth is calcium. Make sure you have sufficient calcium intake to maintain and improve your bones. Resistive exercises are also important to strengthen your bones. If you lack exercises and calcium, your bones will become more weak and suffer from osteporosis, be more prone to injuries etc.
I have also learnt about all the components to Physical fitness and the 3 types of bodies, Endomorph, Ectomorph and Mesomorph. No one has just 100% one type of body, we all have a mixture of all 3 but 1 type always dominate. Most of us on this thread I suspect are dominantly Ectomorphs. This means our metabolism is naturally lower than an Endomorph and that we have to work hard to lose weight and increase our metabolism but we are naturally strong. Endomorphs, have high metabolism rates, are naturally thin, and fit but they have to work very hard to add muscle. Mesomorphs are the bodies that are naturally athletic. They can gain and lose wight easily. Lucky bastards! Even they have a negative though in that it is easy for them to overtrain..ha! No, ok that was immature. But remember we all have a mixture of all 3.
Oh, I still have my run to tell you all about as well, less than 2 weeks now. I booked my train and room in Newcastle. The event is going to be boadcast live on BBC one, wow. On the day before the run, I am going to tour around with my friends, any ideas what we shouldnt miss? But while they will stay for 4 days I can only stay the 2 as I have to get back to my damn studies, bloody bad timing. And I am going to have to abandon my idea of running in the cape as I dont have time to spend making it

Main thing is though, is I keep up with my training and I'm happy to tell you all I'm ready!! I've run the distance of a half marathon 3 times now. Best time so far is 2hrs (21k). So to all my sponsors, I wont let you down! And of course my Asthma UK charity :)
OK, that was my little break from work and study, this maybe the only thread I will be visiting in the next 6 weeks.
Go girls you got the power :) And lads, whatever the hell you are upto, good health to you all.
