Have finally given in and put the central heating on for the first time this autumn, as it felt cold when I got up. Still, holding out until 18 October isn't bad, and when I checked the temperature, it was 1 degree C outside, so no wonder I felt cold!

We have no heating on at work until the 4th November as it doesn't get cold till then
As I work in a clinic we have to wear short sleeves hence really cold; luckily on Mondays and Wednesdays clinic (different location same job) the heating went on in October!

Yikes, doesn't it vary according to who and where you are?! I imagined it'd be colder up north and that people would have their heating on earlier. I can never sleep with the window open in case of noise, though today I may have woken neighbours myself by having to scrape the ice off my car.

You sound like my Mum tilly.

I've already been to the shed and b*ght my little portable fan heater out. It sits next to me whereever I go and heats me up. ;)

In the summer, I love sleeping with my windows open and I love waking up to birds singing etc. However, I do not appreciate when drunks and hooligans leave the pub so early and are fighting over their girlfriends or whatever they fight over and wake me up on my only day off at 5am in the morning! :nono:
