Did anyone watch this at Greenwich? A friend of mine watched it there. First the staff directed her into the wrong screen, one that was already showing another film. Then apparently the film just stopped after about an hour.

Not sure whether they got the film running again after that.

I went to see this tonight in the Cardiff screening it was really busy the film was highly enjoyable the main character was the spit of Lindsay Lohan remember seeing her in Zombieland but thought she had quite a good part in this, was quite surprised to see Malcolm macdowell in it as i didn't think this would be his type of thing. I was reading the don_dattas post and lauging because when we went to see the sasha baron cohen film Bruno the film kept breaking down in the dirtiest parts and we all ended up in hysterics.

Just saw Emma in Superbad last night. She doesn't have a big role but important still. I love her then.
Watching today at quite packed Covent Garden. I thoroughly enjoy the movie. Love the analogy of Scarlett Letter, it's about time to have new theme n the movie (we've been fed too much of Cinderella type of movie). I love the way she solved the problem by grabbing everyone attention during rally with her sexy singing just to lure everyone to watch her live web confession. And I love her parents too... Very easy going (may be too easy going??). Had a wonderful time. Even my hubby laughing out loud in many parts :)
a 8/10 from me

let me explain my score first.

i have a crush on Emma, mainly becos she looks like Melinda Clarke a lot, whom i had a crush on once in the past that i never got over.
Also the film has amanda byrnes, who was my cruch from the Norties.
Thats not where it ends. Its got Phoebe from Friends in... and she was my other crush from the 90s.

So i am afraid i had to give this particular combination of bitchsoup 10/10 - whatever the quality of the film. If it had Beyonce in i would have died of excitment!

this was another high school america movie, but a superior one. unbiased view 8/10 too many actors too old to be in high school was a problem.

PS i want her parents!
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Agree with above.....fantastic ending :star: and yeah Cardiff2007, she was a lindsay lohan clone; the script was wonderfully witty with laugh out loud scenes that took me by surprise :bwl: ......but then again the whole film did. Not your A typical romantic comedy; fantastic characters, a real insight into just how hard it must be for kids in the high school arena and how fast rumours spread and grow arms and legs and all the rest even down to the lightening fast filming of the spread.

Totally on board with the way the parents raised their kids, they really caught that whole 'please stop embarrassing me mum and dad but i think you're really cool' vibe. Good comparison with the religious upbringing and the hippy one. Lisa Kudrow played a real bad ass for a change too.

I'd rate it 8/10

I loved this (and I'm a bloke!). It ticked every single box for me - and I never fell asleep once (unlike Let Me In last night and that stupid Owl thing the day before!)
It was laugh out loud funny, witty, clever and I really liked the references to 80s films, like the use of pointless musical numbers for no apparant reason - Ferris Bueller's Day Off - which she decided she wanted in her movie too.
Is it just me or is Lisa Kudrow aging? I barely recognised her. At first I thought she was the mom! What great parents though! I so want them too! This is one of the best of the year. Although Inception retains that mantle so far. Blokes take your chicks to this - you'll love it too.

Took the family to Southampton to watch this film. The cinema was nearly full just a couple of seats vacant. We all found the film very amusing and the bedroom scene had us rolling in the aisle. Overall a great movie that left you with a smile on your face. :D :D o/
