Absolutely gutted just read on the internet that Love Never Dies has been cancelled on the 24th November Me and my friend have taken 2 days off work and booked train tickets, a hotel as I really want to watch this show!! Does anyone know if its true

Kick up a stink, get them to p*y for your train tickets and hotel too.

Do you think I have a chance as I booked them all separately? When the anger kicks in I'll give them a call as I would really like to go to London again to watch it and don't really want to p*y again for everything.

I've just read the blurb and I find it totally unacceptable that they seemed to have decided on a whim to close for those days. why on earth were they sellng tickets? They should have decided when to close in advance, then not sell tickets for those days. I agree with Sunny, you should kick up a stink as its costing a lot of money which isn't refundable. good luck vx

Thanks Valda; No they haven't contacted me I was just checking on line where the theatre was and it was on their website that it was closed, I have got the tickets in my hand (Dress Circle Row D seats 6-7) I don't know why I keep looking at them as it won't change anything. It maybe worth kicking up a stink as none of the other things are refundable, I got them through The Royal Bank of Scotland who deal with Ticketmaster so they are legitimate tickets and you are right that they should have decided in advance to close the theatre and not sell the tickets.

Diane65, you should make a mega-fuss, but ideally try to round up some others who've been similarly affected. The theatre site "Whatsonstage" has a forum similar to FMUK's, where you might find a thread about this or could start your own. And how about some (adverse) publicity for the promoters? Write to your local paper and maybe they will pick it up and run something?

You know you can reclaim money spent on a credit or debit card (different procedure but possible for both), but why not try to turn the situation round and have an even better weekend doing something else in London? "Living well is the best revenge"!

Of course, it doesn't matter whether you booked them standing on your head. The point is you went through the expenditure, plus time off work.

Years ago I went on holiday to Malaysia. My credit card would not work (they blocked it because 'You don't normally use your credit card in Malaysia'... Anyway, I cancelled a day trip and missed out on various things, had to book extra internal flights/hotel rooms. I got the credit card company to p*y for all the extra expenditure.

Make sure you write down exactly how much you've spent when you complain... Then add on what you think you should compensation for having to complain (£50 a letter: banks do it to us) and also for disappointment and loss.

If you need help writing the letter, PM me... I just wrote a letter for a friend and she got her surveyor's bill halved. She was chuffed to bits.

It wouldn't even have entered my head to claim for disappointment etc, I booked the theatre tickets and my friend booked the train and hotel so I'll get the exact figures from her so I can write a letter. I'm rubbish at complaining, I got free cinema tickets by complaining as recommended by friends on this site which I would never have done.
