£10 a session!!! Thats ridiculous. Even if they are playing with feathers (which do cost more), its still a ridiculous price. I dont remember anyone even had to p*y to play racket sports when I was at uni, I even ran a table tennis society and I certainly didnt charge anyone, we all had uni budgets to run the societies. Have you checked how much it is to book the court (forget the stupid club)? Then you and your flatmates can split the price which just be £1-2 each. And use plastic shuttles, cheaper and last much longer.

There's a new series by Jamie Oliver on Channel 4 called Meals in 30 Minutes, check that series out, might be fun for you and your flatmates to do this together, 1 does the shopping, 1 cooks, 1 prepares the ingredients etc and 1 does the washing up (assuming 4 of you) then rotate. Plenty of time left to do your homework ;) Become the health leader amongst your group, something tells me you have that in you! Make it fun for everyone to enjoy doing, dont slave them!

WW worked well for you on your weight loss journey and can still work well to maintain the weight but the disadvantage is mose WW indexed food is processed. You at a stage where you want to substitute processed food for better quality calories. So just make that little effort as best you can...because there is always a way, if you passionate enough to achieve something, regardless of the obstacles along the way. So, though you cant avoid processed food completely (no one can), you can reduce it.

Running up and down the stairs is brilliant, do it. Time yourself each time. Vary it too. Using the bottom step, do a step up/step down for 1 minute. Then run upstairs 2 steps at a time. When coming downstairs, go slow and one step at a time ALWAYS, hand on the rail. But when running up stairs, keep your elbows bent 90% and swing them to power your climb, this helps to circulate your blood flow.

As for running outdoors, just run as long as you able to. If its 10 minutes, fine, next time you try, better it. Start off with a slow jog for 20 mins. See how you feel.

Also, make sure you have plenty of sleep. Very important. at least 7 hours every night.

I'll post up an exercise plan later on.

awesome thanks :)
and my only prblem is working WITH my flatmates, all ofthem are living off supernoodles atm and can never be bothered to cook, so id prefer to do it on my own, they were amazed when i put a chicken breast on the grill oO
I fear for their future cooking lives...

I have caught a few of those meals in 30 seconds things, the other day was a giant steak sub :O i was amazed! most of the recipes are for a family of 4 though, usually with WW recipes online i have to divide everything by 4, which sometimes messes up the recipe :S

Sounds like you're doing brilliantly rawr! All you need is to find some likeminded people to work out and/or eat with now.

I will skip the progress chart for the moment MrGlass. Trying to limit my weight gain is my only goal at the moment while obviously not dieting.

However, once January comes along I will be ready for a new body! And it will be a real challenge to incorporate homecooked meals and work outs into life with a newborn so I will need all the help I can get.

On a positive note, my last check up told me that I had only gained 0.3 kilos in a month so the 3.5 kilo weight gain was a definite growth spurt! However, looking back at my holiday pictures I am really much bigger than I thought I was. The bump doesn't look so big from above! :)

Can't wait for the new progress charts though. I love how we all encourage each other here and how MrGlass bullies us into complying with his rules ;).

A little while back I actually did a compilation of the Threads "greatest hits" ;)

Until I completely finish my portfolios for this course (sorry I take so long, it hasnt been that easy to absorb all that knowlegde in such a short space of time) but give me another week, I'll be back regularly post up new tips, facts etc. Though I have been ready to post up the new Progress Chart but so far only 2 of you plus myself have given me any progress data, anyone else? If not, I'll proceed with just the 3 of us :)

So here is this threads most interesting posts which I uploaded here:

http://www15.zippyshare.com/v/70366225/file.html

Just click the big Download Now button. Its a Word Document. Ignore all the ads and make sure you know where you are clicking because sometimes there may be ads tricking you with its own download button which isnt anything to do with my file. If anyone knows a better free upload service to use, let me know.

Also, those of you who have Iphones and Android, I recommend getting an app called KeepFit. Its a great resource for health tips on food items, vitamins, and general health maintenance tips.

Also another App, that is is proving to be a great source for my gym exercises is JEFIT. I know its available on the Android but I'm not sure about Iphone. It has a database of exercise categorised by muscle groups with animation describing proper techniques. Its so important when exercising to do it PROPERLY otherwise you are wasting energy.

Well done JMD for boosting the thread again!
