This is a remake of the French film Pour Elle (Anything For Her) that many of us may have seen at free previews last year.
I thought the plot sounded familiar.

Just finished watching the original. Pretty good if a little implausible in the final stretch. Judging by the trailers for the remake they've amped up the action in the final part of the story. I suspect the implausibility will probably be higher too.

i was thinking that having 'Gladiator' in the role of the husband would detract from the plausibility of the plot (Russell doesnt come across immediately as an ordinary guy, although his acting skills are copious enough to pull it off).

on another note, i was sure i had tickets to this from sky, but they seem to have disappeared from my email box??!! or i am going bonkers?

edit - not to worry though, i can def get tickets for the total film screening and closer to my home too!
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

If you login via sky you can redeem the tickets again, they will re-send you the email and then you can print them off if needs be!

I loved it! Very captivating thriller; sometimes I even realised I was holding my breath!!!!
I went to the movie without reading the plot nor watching the trailer (I always do that!), and the plot did not sound familiar, even though I watched and loved the original... but again my brain is made of cheese and can't remember a movie for more than few days :giggle:

8/10 for me!

Wow, just saw this at Vue West End. I have not seen the original, so no idea what I was in for. But this is how a film should be made! Brilliant! So enjoyed this, had you hooked straight away, great tension, emotions, edge of seat stuff, great twists, dialogue and acting. Loved it! One not to be missed. 10/10

Lovely to see hdaniel82 again and what a great cinema Vue West End is, large screen, high enough so no heads block it and great incline. Shame it was less than half full, either because of the snow or Sky stupidly cancelling people's tickets?
