Really? I loved the Rat Pack. Gave it to OH for Christmas one year, we both went, it was great. I guess we are all different. I love Barbra Streisand too.

Frank Sinatra's music is not my cup of tea, Beate. My bf even fell asleep during the first half.Beate wrote:Really? I loved the Rat Pack. Gave it to OH for Christmas one year, we both went, it was great. I guess we are all different. I love Barbra Streisand too.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I went to see Barbra and Frank last night. I am not really a Barbra fan and have to admit to not even recognising some of the songs that she sang. I do like Frank though. Overall it was a good evening and worth the journey in to see it.
The theatre was less than half full though and it attracts an audience well into their 70ies - it even made me feel young!! But there was a little boy aged around 4 there - he was a good as gold and really seemed to enjoy the show!!
I thought that Sebastian Anzaldo made a good Frank Sinatra, but I am was irritated by Sharon Owens as Barbra Streisand. I found her mannerism and giggles annoying - but then Barbra might be equally annoying - knowing very little about her, it was rather difficult to tell.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I went to see Barbara and Frank as well a few days ago. It was just weird sitting in a theatre watching 2 impersonators pretty much playing it straight, singing a string of their hit songs. Even the gags were apparently copied from their concerts like the Barbara Streisand ones in Las Vegas, asking couples how many years they've been together. We had a couple who've been together for 51 years! They also got people to shut out their films, but no one shouted Little Fockers!
It was a very easy viewing and easy listening, but it's more suited to like being a part of a cabaret show, rather than a full sit down performance in a theatre for over 2 hours. Then again, I've never seen anything that good at the New Player's theatre.
A passable 5.5/10
