My second film of three today and my favourite of the bunch.

I wasn't expecting to like it very much judging by some of the less than flattering reviews I'd read.

After watching it, I thought it was quite good. Not exceptional by any means, but much better than for example Knight and Day. No doubt this was helped tremendously because we had that terrific Venetian backdrop and none of a certain Mr Cruise's unique brand of smugness. The storyline was OK.

I do agree with the reviewer that said Angelina's character was pretty much the Salt one again, albeit a little less directly physical though. And didn't Spanner remark that the constant double takes that everyone made as Angelina walked past became a little tiresome - I'd have to agree with that.

Nevertheless despite the flaws, I'm going to give it 8 out of 10. :D

have to emphasise the fact this could even been as Salt sequel.

good, gentle film, with either a cop out ending, os a dont take me too seriously ending, depending on if you like the movie or not.

maybe the wit lever might well have been turned up higher, but hey in a year of dumbed down movies its acceptable for it to be a gentle comedy.

edit - becos computer is bloody useless.

The Salt character was far more violent and far less flirty, so... no!

Just got back from seeing this at the Silverlink, got told on entry the heating was down in the cinema we were in and if we wanted after 30 mins we could go see something else or get our money back. We decided we were wrapped up enough... how wrong were we... even the hot cheese on my nachos got cold in about 10 seconds. However gloves were put on, hats and hoods too.

I was expecting it to be rubbish from the reviews I have heard, however thought it was an okay film, if it never had Johnny Depp and Angelina in I think it would have been totally pants. The scenery was beautiful.... definitley lots of dumb parts...
like the boat chase.. where if the gangsters doggie paddled they could have probably caught them...
Thankfully I am home and off to thaw out x

We saw this last night at Cheap Day Tuesday at Vue, Ocean Terminal and it was good value at £2.60!

I was intrigued after the generally bad reviews and yes it was a moving postcard of Paris and Venice but that did lend itself beutifully to the film and the story.

I enjoyed it and whilst it was more sedate than the trailers would lead you to believe, I didn't see the ending coming!

8/10 from me.

From seeing the trailors I was expecting a wham bam James Bond type movie, which it wasnt at all. I thought it was veeeerrrryyy slow through most of the film, with hardly any action. The scenery was breathtaking though. Angelina didnt really say a lot in this film, I think her character could have been a bit more of a goer if you know what I mean! Johnny, Johnny oh how lovely he was  . I didnt see the twist at the end coming AT ALL. I would have rated this film about a 5/10 but the end more than made up for it so I will rate it 8/10. By the way there was no heating in our cinema too, they must all be having problems with this bad weather.
