It has stopped snowing in my part of Surrey but it was very heavy earlier and I drove home even more slowly than I'd driven to work. At least everyone else was crawling along, too and one car had gone into the ditch.

Don't speak too soon, Valda! I ordered some more pairs of grippers but they haven't arrived. I think you must be lucky where you are as it took my sister 3 hours to get home from work today - just as well she left early - and she's just north of London.

Yes, hope you get home OK and that everyone else here, who is still at work or otherwise out, also does. Apparently our late shift tomorrow will be in a hotel overnight to ensure they can be available to work an early the following day - assuming they can get to work in the first place, of course! And they can hardly be compelled to stay...

this place is very annoying sometimes. People who work for Talkback Thames were told to go home at lunchtime. Fremantle staff in certain departments have been told to go home, other departments have been told nothing  Doesn't really matter to me but some people here will have problems getting home.

Its really not fair :x

Well, it is very slippery on the pavements in London - normally a 12 minutes brisk walk to the station up a slope, but today took almost double that as it was so icy, I wish I had those grippers!

I told OH to take the bus back from the doctor's surgery, which he did, but then the bus took too long for his liking so he got off and promptly fell on his arse. Serves him right if he doesn't listen to me...
