Also, snow can be fun when you're young, but when it prevents a relative from coming to your house with presents like it did today it's fmuking annoying. I have to wait till the new year to get my DVDs and poster of Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction! Fmuk fmuk fmuk fmuk....
True my kids have had great fun in the snow today....but won't be happy Saturday if I haven't been able to get out and finish the Christmas Shopping!!
Was just looking at the MET Office forecast and I think they have given up trying to accurately forecast the snow, it just seems to be it could be anywhere at anytime!!
Feel bad for my brother though, his girlfriend is due to fly into Heathrow tomorrow and its currently still closed and on their Twitter have said it looks like it will still be departures only tomorrow......I think he would trade all his presents just to have her with him instead, they have been apart for a couple of months.

Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I'm not surprised you found it upsetting, it's assault. Throwing a snowball is one thing, in most cases a harmless bit of fun but that was a nasty violent act. I hope it hasn't left you traumatised.

That's awful valda and shouldn't happen. I read in the news the other day that when a guy asked kids to stop throwing snowballs at cars, he was assaulted! You can't say anything nowadays!

It's a shame when you hear stories of people just being unkind in the snow - don't they realise its meant to be fun!
I was totally amazed on Saturday as to how many people were attempting to drive. I do appreciate that some people genuinely had to travel about but it seemed to cause more hassle then it was worth. Hubby and I walked in to our local high street and the most annoying thing were the cars with passengers who wouldn't get out under any circumstances, they just sat there expecting the pedestrians to push the cars when they got into difficulty!
However, I did see one of the funniest things - a fire engine was trying to get down the high street but got stuck in the backlog and cars were unable to move out of its way. Initially it did have sirens and lights going which I did find worrying but it was obviously "stood down" once it got stuck. Anyway after about five minutes, all the crew but the driver in their full gear got out and had a snowball fight! As quickly as it started they finished, ran down the road to help push a car and then casually strolled back to the engine and got in as if nothing had happened. Hubby and I thought it absolutely hilarious!
