Also saw this film today, quite agree the film dragged in places and I also thought that the back story to Vince Vaughn's character was not very well explained at the start, although it all comes to light much later into the film. When the film was funny, it was very funny ( laugh out loud moments) and the whole audience laughed, but then the style changed and we were somehow expected to feel some angst for ' the dilemma'. I for one, didn't feel bonded enough with any of the main characters to care very much, I was waiting for the next comedic, one-liner. Also think that Queen Latifa's role could of been so much more. Took along my son and one of his friends, both 16, neither were too impressed and were glad they hadn't pa*d to see the film.

A disappointing 4/10.

Just got back from seeing this film (went for spoons steak night afterwards! haha)

I thought it was much better than the it looked. I watched trailer and thought it looked awful but I was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty funny in places and my girlfriend liked it since it was about emotions and relationships and what not, she loves Vince Vaughn though so difficult for her not to like it.

I would give it 6/10. It is funny but not great and it goes on a little too much

Watched this last night with mcm and her bf at a rather packed WIQ (or was it that there were so many singles leaving one seat each that it seemed so full?). I am suprised by some of the really low marks on here. I had very little expectation for this movie and actually thought it would be as dull as Hot Tub Time Machine but to my suprise I actually enjoyed it. I agree the film was rather long and could have easily be done in 90 mins but I thought it was quite funny. Abit cheesy but one of the nice cheesy films you can watch easily after a shit day at work. 7/10

Thanks mcm for keeping me a seat.

This was another one of those films which couldn't decide which genre it wanted to be. On IMDB, it says it falls into the Comedy, Drama categories, and that is what it did. Sadly, I felt that it was rather uneven, and it did drag somewhat in places. The film does deal with a very thorny issue - who would want to be in Ronny's shoes? How do you deal with that sort of information?

It was actually much better than expected - 7/10 from me.

Following the recent reviews in the press for this I went along not expecting very much and that it truly what I got! It seems that at the moment a lot of film makers can't fully decide what genre they want their work in so attempt to make the films a bit of everything which just gives them a very disjointed feel. I accept there were a few lol moments but these were too few and far between to cover up the moments when the film just limped along.

A very lowly 5/10 from my gang.

I saw this film last night and I went to see it trying not to have any expectations. I had read what the plot was about but I hadn't seen any trailers. The reviews weren't good so I went thinking it would be quite bad. The truth is that the movie made me laugh a lot and although it felt a bit long at times those times were kind of justified by the story. I loved seeing Winona Ryder acting again.

This movie might not be the comedy of the year but it left me and my friend in a happy mood and I think that's what comedies are for. I would give it a 6/10.

That is SO funny. I constantly have to sit on my hands not to point things like that out. So glad I am not the only one who notices! (I don't want to be the know-it-all German :giggle: )
