Competitions
WE WILL ROCK YOU
Prize : 2 tickets valid for 2 July 7.30pm

WE WILL ROCK YOU opens for a spectacular ten week season from Wednesday 1 July – Saturday 5 September 2009.

When news broke that one of Britain’s most phenomenally successful comedy writers Ben Eltonwas teaming up with true legends of rock Queen for a musical, there was much speculation on how such a unique collaboration would turn out, especially when screen icon Robert de Niro came on board as an American producing partner. The result - a new chapter in theatre history and a rock ‘theatrical’ which defied all comparisons. The show has gone on to rock London’s West End and theatres around the world for the past six years to an audience of well over 6 million people.

QUEEN’S Brian May said: We are excited to be able, finally, to send a brand new top class WE WILL ROCK YOU company out on tour around the UK. We are completely hands on, and will be visiting! The Mother Ship, in the Dominion Theatre, London, will be rockin' on all the while, keeping the home fires burning, until further notice!

Writer Ben Elton added: “The audience has the right to expect something as fabulous and grand and theatrical as the music itself.”

WE WILL ROCK YOU brings together the award-winning creative team behind some of the biggest international shows and rock tours including choreographer ARLENE PHILLIPS who directed two of Freddie Mercury’s most colourful videos (Made In Heaven, Born To Love You) and has choreographed some of the biggest stage musicals in recent years (Starlight Express, Grease); Production Designers Mark Fisher and Willie Williams who have designed sets for Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones and the acclaimed multi-media shows for U2. Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor are the show’s Music Supervisors.

WE WILL ROCK YOU stars Jonathan Wilkes, Kevin Kennedy (Coronation Street), Brenda Edwards (X Factor) and Georgina Hagen.

Closing date for entries : 01/07/2009

Winners will be notified by : Email
