Re: Weight Watchers
There's always a silver lining .........
I was ill at the beginning off the year, the kids kindly shared their tummy bug so lost a pound, which to my surprise I have managed to keep off!
Then January has been the longest month ever, was pa*d early in December and sooooo skint now it is unbelievable.....but it means that I've not had money to be tempted by snacks from the vending machine at work and only stocked up on the bare essentials at home and have lost a further pound!
Am changing my work pattern in 2 weeks so will also be able to walk to & from the school with the kids everyday so hopefully this will help a little more. I know its only been a small loss of 2lb in 4 weeks but don't have a huge amount to lose so if I can keep up the 1/2lb a week I won't be too far off my target by my holiday in April!!

Re: Weight Watchers
Its been blow out weekend so far but, that's life. Start again tomorrow. We had team building all yesterday morning then the departmental belated Xmas lunch. The restaurant was changed to In on the Park or something like that, in St James Park. We all walked there which was good, it was a lovely sunny day. I had Crispy Eggs, Oxtail and Horseradish to start. Well, the egg was beautiful, the horseradish was forgotten and the oxtail? 3 little bits about the size of a grape
Main was beer battered cod and hand cut chips. This was 2 strips of cod which was lovely, the chips horrid and lovely home made tartare sauce. I then went mad and had Lemon glazed tart with cream, very nice but small.
I was far too stuffed to go to the gym after all that. I've now demolished sausage and chips with peas. I had to get it all out of my system, and now I'm ready to concentrate fully vx

Re: Weight Watchers
No doubt the reason for the silence here is that all the usual devotees are out doing something healthy? The following is really more about fitness than weight-watching, but I'm sure Mr Glass would still approve: when we last moved house, I donated my balance board (or whatever they're called) to a colleague, but I was trying them out again at Excel recently and realised maybe my core stability needed some help, so I've b*ght another one and am having fun playing on it.
I did keep my Swiss ball and used to sit on that instead, so I wasn't completely without core tone, but it did look rather incongruous at the dining table.
Now, no-one tell Mr Glass about the large bag of Maltesers I wolfed last night, please... though it was probably OK if I was standing on my board at the time.

Well done with the Swissball anyway
I was unwell for over a week now. Fully recovered though. I think I might have taken a step back on the fitness side as a result but will be back on it. Going for a short interval run and then hit the gym and see if I can still lift half the weights I was able to.
Here's something interesting, I failed to complete it several times but I finally managed it, made me feel quite proud of myself:

Re: Weight Watchers
2 weeks back on the wagon now and ive lost 3 and a half pounds so feeling quite optimistic x cos been offthe wagon for so so long......got my holidays in 30 weeks time and my idea was to try and go easy on my self and aim for one pound per week...iam setting intrim targets of 7 pound chunks and going from there so not looking at the big amount i need to lose to become healthy but looking at the little goals id like to hit along the way. so pleased this thread is still going...can see reading through it that people are having good weeks and bad weeks...but so inspirational xx
so goal set I want 7 pounds off...got 3 and a half off so another 3 and a half to go xx
keep up the good work everyone xx
