I went to see this today at the silverlink newcastle. Apart from a cock up with the tickets saying 10.30 start, when they were showing it at 11 and having to queue outside til 10.30 without the cinema opening the doors, i thoroughly enjoyed it.

I found it witty, not laugh out loud funny, sweet without being too cheesy and not just a rom-com with the addition of her back story and ultimate outcome that leads to. I found the 2 leads to be charming and had good chemistry, the supporting cast well chosen and good performances all round.

This year's bridget jones' it was not, seems a strange comparison when it caters for a younger audience. Would liken it more to save the last dance personally, just replace the dancing with skateboarding.

Would definitely watch it again, nice feel good factor even the bf enjoyed it! I give it a 7/10

Saw this yesterday at Liverpool 1 and can happily say I was pleasantly surprised. Hadnt looked up the trailer or any info and wasnt expecting much. This is a surprising little gem which could do with more coverage to do better than I think it will!!! 7/10

A good, fun, no-brainer type of film. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Loved the frozen Lasagne joke - reminded me of college.
To the Odeon Silverlink - train your staff, you currently employ nincompoops!
Chalet Girl 8.5/10 - Newcastle Odeon Silverlink 3/10 ( 3 for the apologetic female member of staff)

Saw this at Basingstoke on Sunday (screen was probably only 25% full which suprised me), and although said 10:30 on the tickets they didn't start until nearly 11.

I'd go along with other reviews, an all round good film. Made me laugh, not hysterically, a little bit serious in places........a generally good family (with slightly older children) film.

Took my daughter to see this in Brighton on Sat morning. Arrived far earlier than anticipated (I think the early morning rain meant that a lot of people stayed in bed!) but glad we did as the cinema filled up fairly quickly - not to the point of turning people away but only least popular seats left. Thought it was a lovely, feel-good film & enjoyed sharing it with my daughter. Made me want to go skiing again (until I remembered that I was pants at it in my twenties so there is no chance for me now!) Absolutely adore Bill Nighy - I only have to hear his (or Alan Rickman's) voice which also made me feel my years (although still a teen at heart). Then when we left the cinema it was beautifully sunny so we had a 'quick' pop to the shops. All in all a fab girly day!

I saw this at Greenwich on Sun morning. We froze waiting outside for the building to be opened not sure what time it opened in the end but it was after the film should have started! Then luckily I missed the musical chairs fiasco as I went to the lo. Apparently everyone took there seats, where asked to move to a different theatre and then told to move back again!

And then it started over half and hour let. But it was a fantastic, feel good, funny film. And I love snowboarding so that helped. So all was forgiven.

I wasn't sure on this film at first, however is quite funny! And from the makers of bridget jones so had to be good. Would recommend 7/10
