Holidays/Vent/Bargain boards
These boards don't reflect the purpose of the site, so I haven't created them with the rest. In addition, they were never busy enough to justify being boards. With the holidays and vent boards in particular, imo, they would've been perfectly fine being individual threads - there was only ever a single topic being discussed at any one time within them. The argument against merging the topics into individual posts was that they wouldn't make perfect sense when being read through. But that argument isn't valid now we're at a new board. Anyway, as a token of goodwill, you can choose one of them to be created as a board again. The other two will have a thread or two each, maybe even stickies, in the General Discussion board.
So which was your favourite?

The Bargain Board, definitely. Although it wouldn't hurt you to put the others up again as well.
Re: Holidays/Vent/Bargain boards
not bothered about having any of them tbh - couldn't all of those just have a thread in the general discussion board ?

Re: Holidays/Vent/Bargain boards
Not a good idea for the Bargain Board. If you remember, we had lots of different threads in the Bargain Board - cinema deals, culture deals, accomodation deals, dining out deals, freebies, travel deals etc etc., they were great and it would be brilliant if we could have that again. Pretty please.blackmidnight wrote:not bothered about having any of them tbh - couldn't all of those just have a thread in the general discussion board ?

And if that's the case then I'll vote for bargain board as holidays never seemed to be used much

Re: Holidays/Vent/Bargain boards
I vote for the Vent board.
It was a useful resource here and the number of widely different subjects deserved their own threads. Many went quiet only to come back again with a vengeance, something that would be very difficult to happen if it was only a single thread. Some threads acted as warnings to others, not to fall foul of the same pitfalls and most were just there for a shoulder to cry on.
A single thread for vents would be a crying shame.
