I thought it was great...a truly endearing homage to Spaghetti Westerns that was suitable for adults and kids alike.

The animation was flawless and I also loved the music and the little nod to Hunter/Fear & Loathing.

My 3 year old managed to sit though it and talked about it the entire journey home.

Not bad, not bad. I actually thought the film was in 3D and brought glasses with me only to embarrass myself when the film started. Oh well. The film was actually much better than I expected, with some memorable characters and awesome action sequences as you would expect from director Gore Verbinski. Jokes mostly hit right notes too. I'd give it a definite 7/10.

This has the best animation I have seen since I first saw Toy Story totally blew me away,
The second act was far too long and needed a tighter edit as the story wasnt strong enough to be so long but the homages through this were fantastic especially if you love spaghetti westerns.
I dont see how this is a kids film, apart from the fact thats its good to look at it but would urge people to see it.

Can't believe that for the second film in a row we got evacuated out of the cinema. This was at the Vue at the O2 Finchley Road, and the film hadn't even started.
We were quite disturbed at how awful the evacuation process was as the staff were sending us from one end of the centre to the other and not allowing us to get out. We only waited in the cold for a few minutes before glumly trudging home as we didn't think we'd be allowed back in anytime soon. I'd be interested to know what happened after we left if anyone else was there...

We were given a magnetic picture frame with rango and some stickers that react to heat at Vue West End yesterday.

Both my oh and I thought the animation was superb and loved the movie. I liked how the characters weren't cute as in most animated movies (nickleodeon cartoons are usually weird looking). 8.5/10

the 10 yr old was on the edge of his seat most of the time. he is also a regular nickeodeon viewer and squealed with delight when he saw their name come up at the opening credits. so prob it is a bit for slightly older kids. those that can 'get' sponge bob sq pants'.

we both loved it. i suspect that this will destined for adult cult viewing after a bit for those who want to pick out all the refs to other films. the overarching story was obvious but was told with such fun and joy i didn't mind at all. it felt to me with like telling the children about westerns so the more you know about the genre the more 'winking-at-the-adults' you will recognise.

and it is stunningly beautiful. worth seeing just for that.

i was really surprised when i read that people didn't like it.

As most of you have already said, the animation was superb. But so was the music, very evocative. And the story was good too. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. 8/10
Can anyone tell me what kind of critter was "Beans"? Was she a lizard (she didn't seem to have a tale)? Me and my party were discussing this afterwards and none of us knew. Did we miss it or was it never mentioned?

As a fan of animation I was really looking forward to this movie, and it didn't disappoint. Just like Tangled, the creativity on show, and the levels of artistry are absolutely fantastic. I could have watched this movie without sound and still loved it. It obviously cost squillions to put this up on the big screen. Amzing really, when this is actually a big group hug for animators and film buffs, and a shame that it has to be marketed as a childrens film. This was the first fully animated film by ILM, and they certainly raised the bar in my opinion. I loved the homage to Star Wars when they were chasing the bottle through the valley. If they are going to seriously challenge for Pixars crown then they must adhere to John Lasseter's mantra that 'story is everything'. If this is their first effort, then I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
