Re: Weight Watchers
Yeah I hope you get some help with the old Doctor.
I've been suffereing with depression and insomnia for years, its not nice and people dont really understand. My Doc now is lovely, I'm on anti depressants, not sure if they help but hey ho. She's tried to get me referred to a sleep clinic but I was turned down. I think I would be accepted if it were private
So anyway today I finally made it to a combat class, its been about 4 months with out going to the gym so it was hard but good. It was a major step to get the motivation to go, without making excuses like I do every week. Roll on Friday for my next class.

Re: Weight Watchers
i saw a locum today at my old doctors who was so good and wouldn't let me leave until she was sure i would be ok and was sure i had everything i needed. she was in shock about my experience at the other surgery.
i feel so much better now and have the drugs i need for my medical condition that really helped with my huge weight loss last time so i'm so happy about that even though i can't start them for at least 2 weeks. she didn't bat an eyelid at me requesting the drugs the other doctors point blank refused me, even though i've been given them by a specialist and not a gp.
i feel so relieved that i'll now get the support i need for both my current state of mind and my weight loss. :)
i think i'll celebrate this weekend with a free cinema trip
and a skinny latte!

Re: Weight Watchers
Aruif, your strength of resolve is inspiring! We all have certain problems to face but your tackling them head on is the way to go, and you sure as hell deserve rewarding yourself! Well done, really impressed :)
great to see everyone making efforts towards the healthy road.
Can I suggest to everyone to not stick with one activity all the time, otherwise you'll get bored and lose motivation in achieving your goals. Also your body adjusts and so reaches a point where progress is no longer made. So keep changing your routines and programs every 4-6 weeks. Keep mixing your activities.
I felt sick for the past week, and feel quite rotten still. Its worrying me because my training has obviously taken a slide as a result for my marathon goal. but as soon as I recover, I'll be trying my damn best to get back on track asI cant let down my sponsers...
Keep it up everyone :)

Re: Weight Watchers
Sorry to hear you have unwell Mr Glass! Hope you get better soon and you can restart your training.
I've been really impressed with your posts about marathon training and your stamina is amazing! Don't think I could run that much let alone do it so often!
Keep up the good work!
