I want to get a program but unfortunately my student gym only gives programs to those doing a health related class or who are in the universitys sports teams :/ (seems silly to me!)
I had a go at interval training today, not sure I did it right though :S
I did 2 mins walking, 2 running, 3 mins walking, 6 running, and so on for half hour, how my old trainer at my old gym told me to do it, is that right? :S
When I finish uni ill be getting a david lloyd 3 month membership again so I can get a program again then^^

funthing, as a suggestion(if you have them that is), you could slowly ease yourself into exercise classes as home, ive noticed quite a few exercise/health channels pop up which do home exercise classes such as boxercise, body combat and yoga. Could be a good kick start? :)

Been listening to you lot with interest - well done to all of you by the way!

But I thought I was doing well with a 4kg weight loss so far and forcing myself out of winter hibernation by just going for a 2 or 3 mile walk a couple of times a week. Think I've got a long way to go though 8O

Sounds good LM, at least you,re still losing. I'm going to get right into walking when the weather gets less soggy. there's a lovely prom just down the road from my house with a bit of woodland, beautiful sunsets and craggy rock formations.........bring on the summer 8-)

Thanks to Mr G for the in-depth fitness info as i've not got a clue where to start exercise wise to really change my habits. o/

Oh wise one; I too am mega impressed with your knowledge especially on the injury front you could always go into rehabillitation training ie Paris scheme in the future as although you pick on us lot I know that you do it because deep down you care.
Well done Large Marge that is a brilliant weight loss and walking is a brilliant form of exercise.
I'm ashamed to say that I've just eaten a large/huge butterfly cake as I had a day off and went out for lunch
I am off on Thursday and Friday so I will do some form of exercise as I've no excuse for being greedy and lazy.

I don't know what People's Supermarket is either.

I was also thinking about Graze, wouldn't it be cheaper to go to a health food shop or markety sort of thing? I've seen places where you can do a pick and mix with the nuts and stuff. Even places like Tesco do a good range of nuts and stuff
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

People's supermarket is run mainly by volunteers (people volunteer for 2 hours a week etc and they come from all walks of life) in the community selling local produce. It was on Channel 4 and its a brilliant concept; I would volunteer if I lived there.

Hows the healthy eating going girls and boys?? I've fell totally off the wagon since Italy and have went up a dress size again. My stomach hurts :X

Being on holiday this week hasn't help, i need the structure of work to get me eating healthy again.

Did you find the people's supermarket Londoners?
