Bustin' Down the Door

#1 Post by phunkygal » Tue Aug 25, 2009 12:11 pm

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1129921/

During the winter of 1975 in Hawaii, surfing was shaken to its core. A group of young surfers from Australia and South Africa sacrificed everything and put it all on the line to create a sport, a culture, and an industry that is today worth billions of dollars and has captured the imagination of the world. With a radical new approach and a brash colonial attitude, these surfers crashed headlong into a culture that was not ready for revolution. Surfing was never to be the same again.

when a user hasnt posted before their first post has to be approved by admin so takes a while to appear sometimes - this stops any spam and is why its a good idea for new users to post an introduction as a first post when they first join to stop any later posts having a time delay

sorry, I didn't know the rules... just joined very, very late last night :-). Found this site by googling, was fed up not getting anything from seefilmfirst or timeout opening nights, even though I have been registered with them for ages! I have now got tickets for Julie and Julia for next week - which thanks!!!

I know...but it is a good place to watch a surfing film at the huge BFI Imax! They should have done a screening for sunday afternoon, there's always lots of people around the Southbank in the afternoons over the bank holiday weekend.
