Im pretty sure they'll come to a compromise..no studio would ever gamble with 95% of their revenue, in the case of such a big film that would be millions of pounds lost! So i expect it to be showing at my local odeon come march :P

I agree - also surely the studio has far more to lose than the cinemas as there will no doubt be all sorts of merchandising etc. and revenues from that would be much lower if it wan't in all the mainstream cinemas! Else Picturehouse and IMAX are going to be making HEAPS!

Gosh, that only leaves the Picturehouse for me!
Does the Picturehouse in Greenwich even have a screen with 3D capabilities? Maybe this is a bit unfair to the Picturehouse chain but I've never thought of them as particularly advanced :D

Yes they do, they are showing Avatar in 3D. They also seem to be the only chain around me showing A Single Man which I really want to see but am not sure whether I should wait for the Bafta screenings and hope it's on there!

Oh exciting news. Some of us may get a free screening thanks to Sky Perks. :cross: for the North East. We've hit a lean spell very early in the year! So looking forward to seeing this.

I'm not getting my hopes up too much - they seem to have changed the wording of the offer since Steve posted it . Notice it has changed from sky customers to sky+HD customers. They may well demand some actual sky account details for this one.

Free Sky+HD Customer Regional Premiere – Alice in Wonderland

To celebrate Sky 3D's sponsorship of the Royal World Premiere of Tim Burton's new Disney film Alice In Wonderland in 3D, we're giving Sky+HD customers the chance to claim up to two tickets to one of Sky 3D's simultaneous regional premiere screenings.

The Royal World Premiere will be held in London at 8pm on 25 February in aid of The Prince's Foundation for Children & the Arts alongside Sky 3D's simultaneous regional premiere screenings up and down the country.

Tim Burton's magical and imaginative "Alice in Wonderland" is inspired by Lewis Carroll's beloved "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" and "Through the Looking-Glass" combining stunning, avant-garde visuals and the most charismatic characters in literary history.

The all-star cast includes Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham-Carter and Mia Wasikowska as 19 year old Alice who returns to the whimsical world she first encountered as a young girl, reuniting with her childhood friends.

Alice embarks on a fantastical journey to find her true destiny and end the Red Queen's reign of terror.

Alice In Wonderland (Cert TBC) comes to the big screen in 2D, Disney Digital 3D™ and Imax® 3D screens on March 5 2010.

But as a Sky+HD customer you could see this epic 3D fantasy adventure at one of Sky 3D's regional premiere screenings on Thursday 25 February. But hurry, tickets are limited and subject to availability.

Tickets available soon so keep checking!
