I too prefer story over action but this however lacked direction and felt rather pointless.Ms Thrifty wrote:I still plan to see it on Monday as it will fit in neatly before the preview of Song For Marion and I have one Cineworld voucher left. If I don't like it, I won't say I wasn't warned, but I do tend to prefer the slower, more narrative-based type of film to action, special effects, etc. And it has to be better than Lincoln, surely!

Nope, it is far inferior, IMO.Ms Thrifty wrote:And it has to be better than Lincoln, surely!

Just been to see this film. I went with the lowest of expectations because of the reviews, which was a good thing, I think it helped me. I didn't hate it but I wouldn't recommend it to people. I love Bill Murray in most films so he's the main reason I wanted to see it, I also like to learn a bit of history, something factual, although I always approach films based on fact with a bit of scepticism as we all know how Hollywood likes to put its own spin on these things.

Saw this yesterday and found it insubstantial though inoffensive. A wasted opportunity to some extent - not a bad film but it had the potential to be so much better. 7/10 from me.
