Visually brilliant and as a huge fan of the first, thought the sequel was outstanding. Has to contest with the critical success of its predecessor and it also has to be remembered that for an animated film, the fight sequences and darker, more realistic themes tackled by this film are unparalleled; it could probably hold its own in these aspects in a non-animated feature film environment. Absolutely fantastic, was disappointed the first film lost out on the best animation Oscar, even if it was competing with Toy Story 3 but this has to win it this year.

Fantastic fun, darker, but still funny and visually thrilling.

My expectations were maybe a touch high after all the positive things I'd heard, but I still really enjoyed it and am keen to see it again.

And I wish I'd not heard someone mention Cate Blanchett's wandering accent as I found it quite distracting whenever she was on. Never mind, still an 8/10
