This is the best film I've seen this year. It had absolutely everything. Great music, terrific performances, a wonderful coming of age story. The relationship between the brothers was particularly striking. The perfect mix of happy-sad! 5/5 from me.

I was surprised about this film.... it was charming, fun, even funny at times and forever flowing nicely. Most entertaining, can only recommend it.

A feel good movie, which has nostalgic moments from a fashion and music standpoint. There are also some half decent new songs, which keep the music backdrop moving along. The start is perhaps a bit slow, built builds well and overall is a very watchable story.

ok ish. but very flat script with few laughs and some of the humour seems to have been taken from Jim Davidson's joke book

... golliwog anyone?

dazzled by the sunlight when exiting cinema, which was nice

4/10

I really enjoyed this. Great 80s vibe, reminded me of being a kid again.
Really enjoyed this fun wee film.
8/10 from a packed Edinburgh this morning.

Saw this yesterday in Wimbledon. An absolute surprise of a film and a complete breath of fresh air. A coming-of-age movie, set in 1985 Dublin, accompanied by some great eighties music. A great script, very witty at times, a perfect cast and an endearing story. Loved the High School Prom dream sequence. Left the cinema with a smile on my face, resolving to play all of my old Duran Duran albums! I wonder if there will be a sequel – so that we can follow the two main characters on their next adventure. It was toe-tappingly good! Would thoroughly recommend. 10/10

Sing Street

Just been to see Sing Street. Lovely heartwarming story about some school children in a tough school forming a band. Deals with some difficult issues such as bullying and family troubles in a lighthearted but true way.

The music is great and very catchy.

A future west end musical perhaps?
