ah that reverse-explains why me not remembering the first movie led me to the wrong conclusion. thank you. Perhaps I should review it. It was such a long time ago I was a wee nipper.D-Fens wrote:Read a bit about the movie now and it seems this was as much Porno as they could get away with. A lot made it in and the actual porn storyline wouldn't make sense present day. Also a lot more filmed than was released.Mega Ron wrote:I thought this would be Porno and was disappointed that it isn't.
Apparently a third movie could be based on a Begbie book but I'd be happy if that was expanded upon too to incorporate every character.

One off screen in between movies. One serious health issue. One switched to Cocaine which only leaves Spud, who is suicidal and the point of the character is that he's a survivor.

Finally got round to seeing this last night before it dissapears from the cinema. In all honesty, really dissapointed.
Agree with a comment above where it doesnt feel like the same director, more like someone is trying to p*y homage to Boyle and the original but cramming in as many references as possible. It was over kill.
The plot lines jumped around the place and I felt poorly constructed. Unlikely scenes put in for effect and purely to tie in things which felt just lazy.
It did have laughs, it was nice to see the characters again but I think Sick Boy summed it up when speaking to Renton along these lines..

I was actually annoyed that Renton and Sick Boy took heroin as their characters had clearly moved past that, but also then went clubbing, and oh, Begbie is there too. Funny that.
