Quite simply, one of the best films I've seen in a very long time. Frances McDormand, Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell were terrific, and fully deserve their Academy nominations. 10/10 from me.

Really enjoyed this, only put off slightly by two things; the bizzare aussie/south african/british/somewhere accent of Woody's wife - she was limp, couldn't they just have found a redneck actress; and also the character who then becomes the focus of the ending. Was the encounter in the shop really necessary, who is this sadistic monster, what will Mildred do when she and Dixon arrive at his house (if they do) and she realises it's the same guy... to be fair though, it was always going to be difficult to end this movie satisfactorily (without the obvious approach of finding the killer) 8/10

I have now been to see this film twice and think it is really good. The acting is excellent as is the story though I would have preferred a different ending. Ican definitely see some awards for the film.

Totally agree with previous comments. Thought that this was a great film but seemed to get a little lost at the end and seemed to be a bit rushed.
However, I would recommend it.
