Saw this today at Wimbledon, the film was very disappointing!! I had high expectations after the first movie, but this sequel just fell flat, it had no real direction, there were too many characters and no real focal villain, mickey rourke as 'Whiplash' was only a part-time villain lol and the final, big battle, looked tiresome and unoriginal, akin to Transformers 2. I think the problem lies in the fact that the character of Iron Man can't really be developed as much as say, Spider-man, and thus, this film ran out of fresh approaches.

I would give this 6/10

So they're avoiding the alcoholic nature of him then?

I saw this at wimbledon last night, thanks to the lovely Bevvy. I thought it was ok, not great but it kept me entertained…it was quite predictable and unoriginal but I still enjoyed it. I loved Micky Rourke character, but I do have a little soft spot for him, heehee. 8/10

I liked it quite a lot, I agree the plot was a little all over the place, but it was fun and rambunctious! Gyneth Paltrow looks surprisingly good with strawberry blonde hair too.

8/10

I really look forward to seeing this, with lowered expectations. Critic reviews have been overall positive so far though. Rotten tomatoes accumulate it as 77% but just 40 reviews so far so I expect that will go down a bit over time as these films normall do.
