Just watched this at the Printworks about 90% full.
Quite a funny film with lots of laugh out loud parts but did find it also quite irritating at times; it was very clever what he did with the mice it looked like a setting from "Tales from the Riverbank" (for those too young to know ask your parents ;) )
A light hearted film true to the synopsis by Andrews. 7/10

Saw this in Edinburgh last night with Biggins. Good company and a great film. What more could anyone ask for!!

Dont think I have laughed so much at a film for years. Some of the humour was so silly. Loved Steve Carell and Paul Rudd. But as for David Williams, surely they could have gotten someone else. Was it my eyes or was he plastered in fake tan??

Not withstanding David, great night. Would have been 10 but for him so 9/10 from me.

Thanks so much to the person who posted the code. Loved it.

Hilarious!! MM and I were still laughing on the way home!!! :D

9 out of 10 for me too and more enjoyable when you have someone beside you who has the same sense of humour. My OH wouldn't have enjoyed it!!!

Saw this last night at the Silverlink, thanks so much to Andrews for inviting me to be her plus 1.

When the Switch came on againI thought ohhh no I can't sit through Jennifer Anniston again, however as Preston said, like a Flash Andrews was up and got it sorted. I loved this film, something totally different and all the characters were pretty good and worked well together. Great scenes with Barry and Therman towards the end. Jemaine Clement's cooky character was fab/cringy but it soooo worked.

A nice refreshing film with plenty of giggles and a good all rounder - (great company too) 9/10

Saw this in Edinburgh last night with my OH and sister - a big thanks to Biggins for waiting for us and allow us your +1.

All three of us loved this. It was hilarious I've not laughed so much in ages, after a really scabby couple of days at work it was a real joy and really cheered me up.

Even David Walliams was not enough to put me off this film, despite him being "Jordan Orange"!!

Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell were both fantsatic and the turns from Jermaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Zac Galif.......... were also absolutely hilarious.

My OH is a huge Conchords fan so was delighted to see 2 of it's stars in the film.

It was absolutely brilliant; I could go straight back and watch it again.

9.5/10 from me.

Sounds as though FMUK members enjoyed this more than posters on IMDB, who only gave it 6.5. Has anyone seen both this and the French original? I saw that though can't recall much and US remakes are usually not as good, but I'm wondering whether this would be worth a chance?

I saw this hilarious comedy on Thursday night at Silverlink (my least favourite venue, but beggars can’t be choosers).
I had set out with fairly low expectations of the film – I don’t feel that comedy crosses the Atlantic too well – in either direction, and for the original film to be French – well – enough said.
The two leads – Carell and Rudd had an excellent on-screen chemistry and seem to work well together. I feel that Steve Carell put in an award-winning performance as Barry, a weirdo who likes to build dead mouse dioramas. With a look, a word, or playing dead, Barry provides the wit, and the farce that the rest of the film lacked. Carell is so special that we can ignore the shortcomings of the rest of the film, and enjoy how brilliant this ‘idiot’ is.
Paul Rudd gave his usual performance, but there is a tendency for him to play the same type of role, which was less interesting than many others on screen.
The film features a wide range of characters in the cast: Zack Galifianakis (The Hangover), as the extremely confident yet diminutive boss who stole Barry’s wife, Jermaine Clement as a shady sleazy artist, and David Walliams (orange tan job - dreadful) as an eccentric millionaire.
I am delighted to report that there was no puerile toilet humour, which has become much too common in modern American comedies. It made a refreshing change to see a mainstream comedy which does not rely on this type of humour.
I laughed heartily at several scenes, and recommend that you all try to catch this one.

9/10 from me.
