Me too! I thought it would be sort of like Black Death, I know a lot of people didn't like that film but I rather enjoyed it.

This however sounds rather bad

The saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" is becoming surprisingly untrue in films. Inception, The Social Network and The King's Speech are all great titles. But nowadays when you see films such as Season of the Witch, Furry Vengeance, Paul Blart: Mall Cop, and Confessions of a Shopaholic, somehow the most part of us know it's going to be a bit less-than-average. Just a thought.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I saw a trailer. Nic Cage's wig was the most entertaining and dynamic thing going on in that!

It looked truly dire!

I saw the trailer for this in the cinema last week and everyone seemed to turn to the person next to them and mutter something like 'no thanks'. My personal comment was 'that looks pants'.

Dull, tedious and unmemorable except for the amusingly Jawsesque (you're gonna need a bigger boat) line - "We're going to need more Holy Water".

I used to look forward to seeing Nic Cage's films, but all the ones I've seen recently have been very poor.
Unfortunately, this was no exception. Not sure that this is entirely down to Nic though, some poor scripting and direction must take their share of the blame.

It's a "Nic has the ability but must try harder" 5.5 out of 10 from me. :(
