Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Don't know if anybody else has checked but I tweeted Sheffield Cineworld earlier and they confirmed the preview on the 7th is of the 3d version (don't think it said when I booked tickets). It's worth noting because last tine I saw a 3d preview at cineworld they made us b*y glasses even though it's a free screening. Somehow doesn't seem right to me.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
I believe nearly ALL film preview screenings which have 3D are always shown in their 3D version and hardly ever in 2D. Only in the earlier days of these 3D films have there been 2d preview screenings. I think Up was one such exception. But today, I think its always the 3D version.thejason40 wrote:Don't know if anybody else has checked but I tweeted Sheffield Cineworld earlier and they confirmed the preview on the 7th is of the 3d version (don't think it said when I booked tickets). Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
I think even the red carpet stuff might be in 3D on thursday. Edith Bowman was saying on the radio over the weekend that she'll be doing red carpet interviews at the premiere (although I don't know if it's for what we'll see or some other TV show) but she was talking about what she could do like put her arms out etc to show off the 3D.

Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2
Just finished making my 3d to 2d glasses. Cant wait try them out on Thursday and see Harry Potter in its best presentation! Well, almost because one thing that can't be eliminated is the film's brightness and that's down to the cinema itself to project the 3d image with increased brightness levels but unfortunately most dont do this as it costs them more money to do so. However, they are supposed to do this. I'm afraid Cineworld Greenwich at the O2 is one of those "don't give a sh*t" projectionists who dont project 3D films with higher brightness levels
Anyway, what's with my pessimism, I should be grateful that I'm seeing this preview in the first place!

How do you do that? I know it's something to do with the lenses, though I'm not sure what.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Just finished making my 3d to 2d glasses.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

It'll be 2 left or 2 right lenses. Doesn't do anything about picture brightness though.weirdfilms33 wrote:How do you do that? I know it's something to do with the lenses, though I'm not sure what.TheyCallMeMrGlass wrote:Just finished making my 3d to 2d glasses.
