I loved this film and was disappointed to see a few people leaving the screen. I really hope that it is as well received at the box office as it was at the film festival. A little taste of how things were in the 1920s. Wonderful.

Thumbs up from me. Felt it started strongly, then seemed to slightly dip in the middle, but finished strongly. Clever, quirky, funny, yet at times rather moving, despite the relatively simple storyline.

Cinema seemed quite full, though not heaving. Glad to see people were coming despite (or perhaps because of?) its unconventionality.

I watched The General right after I posted this comment. I saw a bit of it years ago but never watched the whole film, I guess I was too young to appreciate it!
I loved it, I love his face, his acting, and he's got a nerve. Definitely a great man.

I'm choosing to skip the Sky screening of this and go to a smaller cinema instead - I think there's more of a chance of silence in the cinema that way. I'm not able to go on that day anyway..

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.

I've seen it twice at fairly big screenings and it's amazing how quiet people are compared to other screenings. So I think it'll be fine wherever you choose to go.
