This was pretty much as I expected from comment relating to earlier previews, and I'd rate it 7 or 7.5 - hard to tell, as the plot was all over the place and it was a bit long for what it was trying to do. But entertaining enough and a darn sight better than Lincoln, which I saw beforehand. Yes, call me lowbrow!

Back from a busy Braehead. I must admit I thought the basic story was good and even original. As most folk have said, the start is good, the middle part was too drawn out and the ending recovered back to good. I must admit I was torn towards the end of what I wanted the ending to be . . . Denzel's acting was very good, so much that I even felt some sympathy for him.

I did notice on the Damaris site (referred to in A Song for Marion thread) was promoting teacher/leader notes to allow Flight to be used as a subject discussion for a group. I could see exactly why it could be considered a good teaching aid looking at different themes throughout the film

Marks 7.5/10

Well, Denzel had me captivated from the start. He really held the film together and was in almost every scene. I can see why he got the oscar nom.

I found this enthralling and whilst some scenes of drug taking etc were not pleasant to watch they did help gel the story of addiction that ran the theme through the film.

I loved the lawyerisms that were hidden to some extent in the dialogue - very amusing!

Good solid film.

8/10 from me from a packed Edinburgh on a horrendously night of bad weather.

I wish I had the figure of the naked lady in the first scene!

Did anyone see this at Purley Way Croydon tonight? Someone down in the front row had to be carried out of the screening - just wonder if anyone knows what happened?! Was quite concerned!

Saw this at a very packed shepherds bush last night
Denzel was very good. Can see why he is nominated at the oscars
Loved the opening action scenes glad I'm not flyin anytime soon
He second half although dragged a little thought was done very well to empisis the drink and drug addition. I was willing he not to at one point in movie.

Just back from watching this at vue Norwich. So glad we arrived in good time, the cinema was full - even the beanbags were occupied!

I personally really enjoyed the film, even seeing DW half naked (he's still got it!). I didn't expect it to be so graphic with the drug taking but its a part of the story that needs to be told.

I'd recommend it for others to see, but will say get comfy seats as I had a numb arse by the time we left!
