Re: Holiday Thread
Seeking advice on beach holiday in Cyprus
My friends and I were meant to go snowboarding around 23March for a week but two of the friends were waiting for a reply on job interviews. Anyways we couldn't book our place to go snowboarding with our group and now us girlies are thinking of a beach holiday in Cyprus. Any recommendations in Cyprus?
Many thanks =)

Just remember im a big Jessie so dont like big rides. Hotel is doubletree by Hilton so there is complimentary transfers to parks. Any good cheap restaurants, diners etc as we are room only

Re: Holiday Thread
Any help and advice is appreciated. We are going to try to p*y as much as we can over here before we go as well so that our spending money is just that. So things like cruise tips and excursions, park tickets if we can get them and anything else people can think of are pa*d in advance.

Re: Holiday Thread
I want to go away by train for a day during the bank holiday weekend and I was wondering if I go Good Friday or Easter Monday will a lot of things (shops, etc) be closed or don't you treat it like a Sunday here (we do in the Netherlands). Thanks!

Re: Holiday Thread
You should be fine regarding most shops though they'll probably have Sunday opening hours (except Easter Sunday where shops will be mostly closed). Banks will be closed. Tourist attractions should be open though, they'd be mad to close but you might encounter rail works.

Re: Holiday Thread
I think it only really affects banks' opening hours ie they usually close at noon on Good Friday & don't open on Easter Monday. Plus offices are affected while people have the holidays. Most shops/restaurants/touristy places are usually open on Easter Monday trying to make some money (especially now). Hope you have a nice time.

I just saw that the tripped I planned (Cambridge) is only £15 return and I have £30 of vouchers left to use before the end of March, need to think of another place to go to as well...

You only have to book it before the end of March not necessarily take it so it gives you another 12 weeks leeway.canadian_turtle wrote:Beate wrote:You should be fine regarding most shops though they'll probably have Sunday opening hours (except Easter Sunday where shops will be mostly closed). Re: Holiday Thread
Yes, I did think of that (thankfully as I don't have enough free weekend days to go twice in March, although I prefer booking last-minute so I can take the weather into consideration) but I still need to think of a place to visit :)Diane65 wrote:You only have to book it before the end of March not necessarily take it so it gives you another 12 weeks leeway.canadian_turtle wrote:Beate wrote:You should be fine regarding most shops though they'll probably have Sunday opening hours (except Easter Sunday where shops will be mostly closed).
