Re: Weight Watchers
lost another 3lbs so that's now 8lbs in total. I'm going to celebrate by going to tesco and putting stuff in my trolley that weighs 8lbs so I can see what I'm not carrying around anymore.
Hope you all are keeping well and Mr G are you ok or just working and training hard?

Just under 4 bags of sugar
It really does open your eyes. Even though I don't feel like or look like I've lost the weight, seeing it on the shelf like that makes it all worth while

Re: Weight Watchers
haha the sugar and the shelf that's the size of my thighs. My problem is the legs are a lot bigger than the waist. Size 14 jeans are tight on the leg if I can get them on that is. But, if I go up to a 16, the waist is massiveDiane65 wrote:OMG that is what I need to losevalda wrote:Just under 4 bags of sugarIt really does open your eyes. and it looks like the shelf on my bum and thighs!
I have to lose another 16lbs to get back to where I was in 2009. A long long way to go

Re: Weight Watchers
We must be the same shape as I have the same problem. I can only wear skinny jeans with a tunic top, its bootlegs or the fab kickflare as they are brilliant shape with wedge sandals.

Re: Weight Watchers
I don't like heels and only normally wear trainers. I have a new pair of little calf boots with buckles, that would look good with skinny jeans but I can't get them on. I'm going to have to try and find som jeggings or leggings and a tunic top by next week ready for Usher and meeting the ex
Its going to be a tough one

I'm sure you'll look fabulous, the boots sound lovely. I always wear boots or sandals I don't own any shoes apart from sketchers which are trainers. How is everyone else doing?valda wrote:I don't like heels and only normally wear trainers. Re: Weight Watchers
Whada miss whada miss??? And whats up my up with my English?
You rock Valda, that is brilliant progress! And you are halfway to your target already, so its not a long way to go, may be another couple of months or sooner with the rate you going at?
If you feel part of your body is not not losing in proportion, thats normal. Some areas come off quicker. For instance, the fat around my abs was stubbornly the slowest to vanish but over time it will all go as long as you keep up the exercising and healthy calorie deficit eating. Also, make sure your exercises through the week work on all areas of the body. If you just do one type of class, even if its an allround body workout class, certain muscles still dont get enough attention. Different class types should even that out. And dont forget the body will adapt to the same routines after 4-6 weeks, so make sure you change your workouts (well classes do tend to change their program for this reason, dont they?) but to change it up even more. The secret of losing the body fat is to keep challenging the body with new exercises so that it continuously has to work to adapt and to new types of stresses and that is what accelerates the burning off fat, and avoiding plateua-ing :)
And well done to youto Diane for your effort to always be conscious of what you eat, the anticipation of temptation and planning what the hell to do about it! You got the knowledge, and the will power
Its not as cold as before now girls, so you can all step up the power walks outside (and jogging).
Sorry I havent been on here for several days, you right Valda, I was busy. I need to manage my priorities better as I find I spend too much time on one thing and other more important things on my very long to do list
. I am trying to do too many things right now both in work and sport. In sport, I want to be a better squash player, a better cricker and train for my marathon at the same time. But I realise its all a bit too conflicting and I'm trying to do my exercise program for all 3. But thats wrong, my program should be focussing on one main thing and that for now should be my marathon training. I shall keep my squash playing to just 1 or 2 a week purely as an interval training session to aid my running. And all the exercises to be specific to my marathon training, and of course I need to clock up more miles per week. Got my first half marathon coming up in 2 weeks at TUnbridge Wells so look forward to that.
Oh I still havent used my free pass for the Fitness First, so still need to check that out and maybe join the 4 month membership so I can start practising by training my friend who has been waiting on me, feeling guilty about that, was supposed to start him off weeks ago. And maybe join Valda in a couple of her combat classes and get my ass proper kicked no doubt.
I wont be on the fmuk site too often for the next few weeks but WW will always be my priority thread
Keep it going girls (and invisible boys), with Valda setting the perfect tempo, I hope its catches on with more of you...so how are the others doing?? I havent read too many pages back yet so will catch up now.
