Re: The Diary Room
Just been to Pride Parade in Manchester for the first time ever. What a fabulous atmosphere, a real feel good event lovely friendly well behaved crowds of people all looking out for each other. The children (that is people who had children with them not mine) were given loads of goodies from the participants in the festival it really did warm your heart. It had an 80's theme with brilliant music you couldn't help but dance in the street. It must be an amazing weekend if you actually had tickets to the Big Weekend itself ending with the Candlelit Vigil which I can only imagine is an extremely emotional event. I've only been to the Gay Village a few times but whenever I've gone you feel really safe and the pub on the corner does the most wonderful winter desserts
and it is so pretty at Christmas time

Film and Book reviews
Hi all,
For a little over a year now, I've been writing reviews and putting them up on Amazon. This has turned into a bit of a hobby and I'd be grateful if you could pop over to Amazon (via the link below) and check out some of my reviews and mark them as helpful or leave a comment please.
Any and all support would be greatly appreciated!

Re: The Diary Room
I need a new vacuum cleaner. Thought about getting a Bosch but now changed my mind and want to go for a Henry as it's quite cheap, gets good reviews and is reasonably quiet. Anyone got any opinions they want to share?

Re: The Diary Room
We have a Henry Hoover and does a great job. Had it now for 3 years with no issues. Look out for extra 15% off at home base as then makes it cheaper.

Re: The Diary Room
Thanks, good to know it's doing a great job. I just checked Homebase but the original price of a Henry there is more expensive and after 15% off it would only be £1.50 cheaper than at ASDA which is close and where I can click and collect so I guess I am going to b*y it there, seeing that I have no Homebase close anyway.tilly wrote:We have a Henry Hoover and does a great job. Re: The Diary Room
Visiting dad in hospital but he has fallen asleep so thought I'd come on FMUK and see what's going on. He had a bad night last night and probably needs the sleep. I don't want to leave while he's asleep so will just sit quietly for a while . . . that's hard for me!

Re: The Diary Room
We went to the Paralympic day yesterday (16 of us)
Have to admit. In the morning I really didn't feel like going.
But so glad I did. The basketball was brilliant!! Like traveling back to last year again.
In the park it was good that u could try out the sports (moving rock climbing wall, all sorts of disabled bikes, wheelchair basketball and many others,) they have built climbing frame for kids I the park
Which is designed really cool. But to be honest I can't see it stayin very long one part is already closed of it (apparently a kid has already been hurt) but it looks cool
The kids got to meet a few medal winners and get their autographs
The winner of the voice was there too (omg. How did she win. She sounded terrible yesterday )
Rest of day little let down. Lots and lots of local food company's had stands there. And lots of unions too
