Big hug MG - My works gave me a camra/camcorder to learn how to use over xmas, OH got me one as well. Not sure which of us is more gutted. I thought it was going to be a kindle. My prezzy is usually electronic but then something always goes wrong, like the time he went to upgrade a laptop and fried the insides by changing the power supply (flicked a switch on the back). Then there was the wireless tablet, keyboard & mouse, which didn't work with my operating system. Then he upgraded my tower computer, which then didn't work, that was a bad xmas.Turned out he just needed to push the card in a bit more. BUT he is the one that keeps me together over christmas

That is lovely to hear Baty how no matter how many electronic hiccups you have OH fixes things for you. You are a lovely lady and deserve to be happy.

Hope that Octopus and McGellaty are going to have a much nicer boxing day and that a_person is starting to feel better.

I enjoy boxing day as I write all my thank you cards today, transfer birthdays/ occasions into my new calendar (I love reflecting on the lovely people I have met (loads from this site- steve (good company at the cinema and my first fmuk friend- my first time at the Jamieson event), prettyxcool(my London tour guide), Valda(my very good friend- lovely to meet you in person, moral support and Take That tickets), Ejwrank (my lovely warm friend you are a delight to meet and fellow pet lover), TheyCallMeMrGlass(my inspirational friend and funny odd shoe wearing friend), Beate(you are such a lovely lady and lovely to meet you for dinner and are our guiding light on this site), Elski (for the Jane Eyre experience it was one of my favourite days and lovely to share the day with you), Jordsmum (my fellow boogieing girl at the Beverley Knight and co concert and for your fun company), yogi (for letting me attend the Iron Lady event at the Town Hall it was an amazing evening and has inspired me to make more of Manchester), Andrews (we just gelled like I have known you forever and for the wonderful day in Durham, what a beautiful city and lovely day) and akh43 (my new cinema friend I really enjoy your fun company and looking forward to loads more films in 2012)- in order of meeting them you are all fabulous and made 2011 very special for me) and places I have visited and experiences I have had),Wow its amazing when you actually write things down as to how many lovely experiences you can have in 1 year and these are just things I have done with my new friends from this site. I will be meeting the brilliant a_person at Easter which I'm really looking forward to. I love to watch lovely films (Singing in the Rain now) and go for a walk in the countryside.

McG and Octopus I hpe today is a bit better for you. It really is the worst time of the year for lots of people, so you are not alone. I feel a lot better now the dreaded day is over, only NYE to go, then I'm free from it for a year.

For me I knew it was building up all yesterday, my sister worked herself up with The Military Wives and The Queens Speech, then had a go over something I'd said 2 weeks ago, that she took in completley the wrong way. Happens every time.

So guys you are both loved on here and we can all tryand pick each other up. Once I get back home with full internet, I'll be on here more until you are sick of me

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit more positive today octopus. Pm'd MG, but no reply, I think she is pretty low but hopefully once the new year celebrations are over she'll be back to her chatty self.

It is a wonderful time when you are a child or have children in the house but as you get older a lot of people find it very difficult for various reasons and those - like myself - who have a family that cares are very grateful.

A couple of weeks ago I must have said 'Christmas is for FAmilies' meaning children etc. She took it to mean I didn't think of her as family, stewed on it for 2 weeks, and let it all out yesterday

Thats sad how people can twist things around that you say. I would take it that you mean its magical for little ones and how that can be turned around to be offensive is beyond me. You are a lovely lady with a very good heart and so sorry that you have had to endure a lot of nonsense. It takes a heck of a lot to offend me and I tend to see the good intentions in people.

I've also PM'd MG a couple of times and now getting worried that she/he is OK. If anyone hears from her/him please will you let me know that MG is OK (I don't mean in a nosey way just a concerned way) as I know she/he was also very low on her/his birthday.

MG is female and my pm was picked up by her about 2o'clock this afternoon. If you click on members at the top you will see she was on at 2.05pm today so she is okay but obviously not wanting to speak - so will give her some space.

If you are reading this MG just to let you know we are all thinking about you and hope that things get better for you. Hope you will be back on here soon - got to get your posts up to 2,000 by New Year you know!!!
