I've been really impressed with your posts about marathon training and your stamina is amazing! Don't think I could run that much let alone do it so often! :shifty: Keep up the good work! o/
Thanks funthing but you know what, I think everyone can do it! I thought very much like you over a year ago ( and 40kg heavier! ). Even running 5km was beyond my wildest imagination! But its turned out to be a fantastic goal by which to use as a weightloss goal. Weightloss is no longer my goal but just simply progression in fitness.

If anyone here decides to do a running (or even walking event) for charity, I will gladly sponsor you and I'm sure other wuld too. Alsinging did a Walk for Life event last year and we sponsored her. She ended up not just walking it but even running it and all part of a weight loss goal. I too had a half marathon event and many here sponsored me. It's such a thrill, and let me tell you, a massive drive aand motivation to losing weight and completeing the event with fastest time I could possibly achieve.

Ha ha from the fitness guru himself, MrGlass is joking just in case anyone thinks otherwise. Just looking after a friend who is always offering words of wisdom and encouragement to the rest of us but sometimes forgets to look after himself.
I've got 3 days off work this week so have no excuse whatsoever for not doing any exercise, these are days that I kept just in case but need to be used before the end of March.

Thanks Mr Glass. I don't quite feel that way but enough is enough right. Only get one life have to do what you have to do. I could slip behind 100 times in my goals to be healthier and happier but as long as I keep getting back up and giving it another go I think I'll be ok eventually :)

As for you doing the marathon that is amazing! truly! it's not a goal i every aspire to personally even if i was fit enough, walking is my least favourite exercise i find it exceptionally boring and the most I've done for charity is the 5k walk at race for life and there was certainly no running involved! Congratulations for being able to do it I hope it goes well!!

Ive recently developed a habit of eating nuts :shifty:
is the graze boxes fault!
Everytime I want something sweet I grab some nuts/raisins instead :D
And I have my peak district trip this weekend!
Plenty of exercise happening there! :) Looking forward to it! :)

MrG have you got any suggestions for exercises that target the annoygin bit of fat that persists to sit on my midrift?
My student gym does core sessions every wednesday which ive been trying to attend, and my satfat intake isnt exactly extortionate(and now eating healthy fats from nuts) sooo something should be making a difference?

I've been hit by the graze trend too and reach for the nuts when i want a snack but thats mostly in work, when i'm home its the biscuits :wall: Was good this morning and had fruit for breakfast and gonna have fish for tea.

Best way to shift the jelly round the mid is doing sit-ups, get into a habit of doing say 20 in the morning and 20 at night then gradually increase.

happy huff puffing
