Cowboys and Aliens
Re: Cowboys and Aliens
Liverpool 1 was full, I got there at 6ish and was number 70 in the queue according to the lady.
As for the film I was personally dissapointed I think it was a mediaocre film, it was a bit slow in places. I would give it 3 stars out of 5

Re: Cowboys and Aliens
I don't think there will be a sequel. My pal dropped asleep twice and only the shooting woke her up. It was an awful film and the acting was dire.
Re: Cowboys and Aliens
Reading these reviews, it just re-affirms what I always suspected about Jon Favreau - the dude is a total hack.
He got lucky with the first "Iron-Man" but this, along with "Iron-Man 2", is clearly proof that he needs to stick to acting.

Re: Cowboys and Aliens
Just saw this at Kingston which was pretty full. I was kept awake because I was sitting directly under an icy blast of air otherwise I might have dropped off too. It was too long and I think they had more fun making this film than we had watching it. There seemed to be lots of lost opportunities for fun. I liked it when he
jumped on to the plane
and I did like the scenery.
Nice to see aruif and hear about her adventures in Empireland.

Re: Cowboys and Aliens
Arrived at the Omni Centre, Edinburgh at 5.50pm to find a large crowd already being allowed in! Had to wait on my friend arriving and by the time she came at 6pm worried we wouldn't get a seat as there were so many people arriving with tickets. Definately getting more popular and people going earlier to get seats.
Fortunately managed to get seats in the back row - I hate near the front.
Went with low expections after reading the reviews on here but didn't think it was too bad but beginning to think I've seen that alien before in other films!! 5/10

Re: Cowboys and Aliens
Just got back from the trafford centre the cinema was full but i dont think anyone was sent away we got there for around 5:45 and there was only a few people in the que. They let us in to the screen at around 6:05 which wasnt bad and no one was asked for i.d either as far as i know as for the film i thought it was actually ok as it had a slow start but i actually picked up in the end i would give the film 7/10 as it wasnt the best film i'd seen but definetly wasnt the worst i would class it as ok
Overall a good night at the cinema?
Who else went to the trafford centre on here?

Re: Cowboys and Aliens
I thought it was enjoyable hokum even if the aliens seemed to be violent and not very smart
don't know how they managed space travel.
Harrison did his Indiana Jones thing and Daniel Craig gave a decent performance although neither had the
personality of a Clint Eastwood or a John Wayne

Re: Cowboys and Aliens
It's from Industrial light and Magic who does the effects for JJ Abrams' films, hence might look similar to the ones in Super 8
