Was better than expected, and has been helped by not having it super serious all the time. The addition of Pegg has given the franchise something different. Seems like watching in the IMAX is the way to go...

I figured that I would get round to seeing this eventually and I couldn't bear the thought of missing it in IMAX so I went yesterday in my day off school. I loved it - the vertiginous aerial shots were stunning to behold and the action scenes were great fun. Obviously the plot is absurd but you can hardly expect anything else with the franchise. Certainly better than the third movie, 7/10

Forgot to mention, I spotted someone a few rows in front of me recording the 6 minute Dark Knight Rises prologue with her smartphone (easily done since security was relaxed in the weekday matinee). Having strong personal feelings on piracy, I went and told one of the ushers who sitting at the back of the cinema. Sadly the woman (who was Chinese) was not caught. I know there is a hell of a lot more piracy in China than over here but it seemed quite disrespectful.

You should have approached her and told her to stop. Pretend you're the usher.
